how to cut avi file?
 
can anybody help me?
ive been trying to use lotsa software to do this but i still cant find an appropriate one..
im trying to cut out ayumis memorial address performance from the arena tour 2004 avi but i still cant :eviltongu
i desperately want this performance alone..
can anybody help pls?

Use VirtualDub, select the part you want with the two small button with an arrow on it at the bottom of the screen :

-> and <-

Then : Video > Direct Stream Copy
Files > Save as AVI

that's all

but i tot then the audio n the video itself will dissynchronized right?that always happen to me

It shouldn't do. I use the same method as above and it works flawlessly.

You will get audio and video dissynchronized if your audio is encoded in VBR (variable bitrate)...

Sometime VirtualDub will warn you that the audio stream is in VBR, so if you use direct stream copy method for copying audio stream, it will be dissynchronized.
To fix that you must first extract the audio stream into a single wav files, and then re-encode the whole avi files by selecting in audio > WAV audio and select you wav file
