What do you really think 'bout her 35th single?

Actually, if the "STEP you" able to change it to "Step you" or "Step onto you" or "Step on you" will gonna be really great. I dun't know why that "STEP you" like she's tryin' to be funny or sumefin' . Still i can't believe this is real. I mean it doesn't seem like her own style at all. Maybe the real Hamasaki Ayumi been capture away? :shakehead Step you Avex Trax! Hehehe... :D

As for "Is this LOVE?" is really okay, but i dun't know wot's wrong with Hamasaki Ayumi recently on her project to captialize sume words. I dun't know know. As i find "My name's WOMEN" and "Humming 7/4" is really stylish, but nut "STEP you" or "Is this LOVE?" It seem like both gonna be sume sort of darkish song to meh. For the "My name's WOMEN" PV is totally unexpected! Perhaps she've realise how much it's a waste nut to have PV for that instead of Humming 7/4. I hope they can really change the title into "Step you" and "Is this love?" because they sound and look more better than captialize.

"Step you" really make sense to meh. As i really like the way it sound "Step you" ,but nut the way it look "STEP you". So i think it gonna be another darkish songs. With "STEP" and "LOVE" been captialize then it gonna be STEPLOVE!!! :eyebrow Like a love been over taken like we call stepfather or stepmother. I dun't know. It's jost a wild guess though. :irked Don't you all agree with wot i've mention 'bout STEPLOVE? :rolleyes

i can't make any judgements about the music/lyrics/vocals until ive heard a preview or a full song download, but as i said in the official thread in the news section, ayu's killin me with these titles.

Is this love- reminds me of the song by Justin Timberlake and Black Eyed Peas "Where is the love?" and i hate that song ><" good meaning, but i can't stand justin timberlake and the song is way overplayed.

Step you- o_O; another ayu-esque title... we should have expected another bad engrish title :yes

jasonrey 15th March 2005 01:35 PM

STEPLOVE?? actually such a nice thinking to put them both together... just don be that sensitive and wait will april k??

DarkWanderer 15th March 2005 02:22 PM

ya, I probably won't make any judgements yet until it actually comes out in april

Though it's only when we know the lyrics that we can really tell how appropriate the titles are, I have to say that STEP you seems like bad Engrish to me at the moment. is this LOVE? isn't so bad, but in general I just like simpler titles better.

STEP you may be something like July 1st or independent. If it was STEP you! I'd guess it was Ayu asking us to dance along with the song. It might be either rockish or partyish. is this LOVE? could be a bit like HONEY, dreamy but still upbeat.

I'm very happy that there will be a my name's WOMEN PV, it's one of my favourite songs from the album.

TeamAyu 15th March 2005 05:11 PM

Well we cannot really judge on anything besides the titles so far and I must say that I hate these titles, there has been bad titles before but these are just bad. I still support Ayu and always will but obviously these titles did nothing for me. Does she not have an English helper of some sort? If not she should hire one haha either that or she is laughing at us for not understanding the deeper meanings behind these bad titles. This is like the single of bad Engrish, hopefully it'll end with this. I thought 'MY STORY' titles were boring and generic but these just stink, I never bash Ayu because I love almost anything about her but like many said these titles are just bad.

HanabiChick 15th March 2005 05:15 PM

It's hard to tell from the title alone - will wait to hear the song and see what the lyrics are about and then decide.

lolo66 15th March 2005 06:05 PM

There is nothing on which I can place my opinions, at the moment. Let me get back to you later.

Jennie Mae 15th March 2005 06:40 PM

yeah, STEP you might indicate a dance: Step, you! I like the title is this LOVE? though, I bet it turns out to be a really nice ballad.
But the title overall... sounds like a Namie single: STEP you/is this LOVE?... I couldn't believe it at first...

Coelacanth 15th March 2005 06:53 PM

I think 'STEP you' will make sense to all of us when the lyrics are translated. Her titles have been odd lately, Greatful Days, my name's WOMEN, Humming 7/4... But they somehow relate to the song cleverly I think...

I think when everyone thinks 'STEP' they automatically think 'Oh it's a dance song!'... Remember Ayu isn't Ciara. (Thank god)

I agree. Also, about the upbeat thing...I'm anticipating and hoping for an upbeat song, but hey, ballroom dancing is all about "steps" too right? Anything is possible, as we all should know, from Ayu. I mean...look at the title. :laugh

As a whole though, as far as the title only is concerned...is this LOVE? is okay, but it certainly seems plain next to STEP you, which I've openly found quite amusing since its announcement. It's just weird knowing it's true. :think

hiroko1234 15th March 2005 10:59 PM

don't think STEP you is good....but i will get used to it :]
is this LOVE?....this is okay but doesn't seem to be ayu-ish..:thud

I'm not gonna judge before the actually single is out.

I'm not the type that judge a song on it's title. I think it's rather stupid to do so. Look, it's a title.

"my name's WOMEN" was strange enough, but the song rocked. It had a great beat, awesome lyrics and her beautiful voice. That's what matter right?

Why do you guys complain on a title for Christ's sake? She's releasing a great single with 2 new songs and 3 new PVs. What are you asking for more... Geez.

Deep snow 16th March 2005 07:40 AM

ayu's title's a bit strange i think, in example when i first heard the title Free & Easy i thought it was a happy & cheerful song, also in CAROLS, i mean, CAROLS should be translated as 'SONGS OF JOY', so it should be a happy song IMHO, but the fact CAROLS is extremely mellow & sad-sounded, also walking proud, from the highly-optimist title i first assume this as an upbeat rockish song, but it happened to be a ballad,

else is Humming 7/4, i thought it was some kind of a humming-not-so-rockish song but it IS a very rockish song

and now, STEP you? hmmmm, maybe it's some kind of rock song similar to Humming 7/4, and is this LOVE? maybe is similar to HONEY? God knows...

what i'm trying to say is ayu's titles are so unpredictable, you won't know what kind of song that is from only knowing the title, you have to hear the song, ayu's so...

full-of-mysteries?

Kazuko 16th March 2005 08:35 AM

ehh.. I'll wait for the song to come out until I make my decisions... I can't really tell at the moment. =P

lolo66 16th March 2005 09:50 AM

Can STEP be an abbreviation for something? hehe I know the chance is next to none.

Nu-NRG 16th March 2005 12:52 PM

:laugh i got this weird idea...STEP = PETS and put that next to LOVE we get
PETSLOVE and ayu is famous of loving her pet doggies alot...so who knows lol
but step on you would make better sense though
and the styles...i don't know her titles is always hard to guess what's the styles is

extepan 16th March 2005 01:20 PM

i havent heard the songs so i dont know

but just like you, i really cant believe that these titles are real. they dont sound ayu at all. i still wish that the 'magical' rumour is real.

Larisa-chan 16th March 2005 03:37 PM

hah, you can read my lovely opinion on the confirmed release thread on the news section. All I'm hoping for is that I love both songs.

And yeah, she may be releasing three PVs and 2 songs on a single which she doesn't usually do, but it's about quality, not quantity.

d0bbi 16th March 2005 03:48 PM
