My brother's band finally has some real music up on MySpace (as opposed to a midi of one of their songs), so go check them out. Go to their MySpace page and listen to Armchair Warriors. Keep in mind that this is a rough mix (there's another vocal track that needs to be recorded, and the drums need to be louder, they need to record the sax, among other things), but yeah. It's cool. I want to know your opinions.

The song is good, but no offence, your brother still needs a little bit more practise on his voice. There are many fields waiting for your brother's band to improvise. In my opinion, if your brother's voice can be a little bit low (if better a bit coarse) and the tune of the song can be a little bit more metallic, then it will be good.

And lastly, if the lyrics can bring out a story e.g Avril Lavigne's I'm with you, Nickelback's Someday then it will be a great song. It seems that your brother is going after Green Day and Blink 182 style .......

Yeah, I've always thought he could use a little more practice (he admits he needs some vocal lessons). And Gree Day is one of his favorite influences. It's just my opinion, but I don't think lyrics necessarily need to tell a story to be good. But yeah. They have better songs, anyway. It's was the only one they could record with only two members of the band (the bassist had to work, and the other guitarist was sick). :P

But hey, it's still a good song. To me a good song is a song that you can a lot of room to improvise it so to make it better and better because you have limitless ways, I think that's fun and cool.
