how much ayu was paid for all her performances?

Ayu is a popular superstar and most probably its not easy to invite her to any programs unless ure willing to pay a big sum i think...lets say, how much do u think ayu is paid for her performances in hey!x3, cdtv, music station and so on...
since those r all in japan, then if u wish to invite ayu to overseas to perform, u will have to pay a really HUGE SUM...e.g 2002 MTV Asia Award 2002...i duno how much she was paid for all her performances, but may be u ppl can suggest some figures? :D

I only know that Ayu could not be paid enough money to get her to perform at the MTV Asia Awards 2003....as for 2004, I don't know...

I don't think that she would be paid for appearing on shows like Music Station and CDTV, 'cos it's all part of the promotion surely? I know that in the UK artists don't get paid, because if they asked for payment the show wouldn't pay for them, and it would backfire on the artist as because they don't appear on the show, they can't get promotion and hence their record doesn't sell. I presume it's the same in Japan - if Ayumi didn't appear on shows, then her records wouldn't sell as much, so it works both ways.

You've a point there...

I agree, most normal music shows and some of the annual Awards probably don't pay for artists to appear. But one-off events and anything tied to a particular company will earn her plenty - like the MTV example above.

ANother example is the annual Kouhaku contest, which pays artists (a lot) to appear: See the thread Red White Contest - Ayumi’s price tag is the highest! - where Ayu got Y500,000.

AyuDan 26th April 2005 05:52 PM

its 5000 Us Dollars starting + Plane ticket for every Band member + living exspenses + Have to be a limo or a a private personal driver. comes out about 8-9000 US dollars to bring her over here. Me and my boss talked to avex before about this issue oif having a j-pop concert over here. you think thats alot. Utada's manager was asking 9000 as a starting price, crazy people :P

extepan 27th April 2005 03:07 PM

ayudan, do you know for sure?
that's not a lot, considering that sammi cheng asks for more than that ($10000 for a 3 song performance)

This was originally posted by AyuDan...to think about it...

5000 US Dollars? meh, it's more like 7000, a plan ticket for about 12 people (body guard, 2 back up singers, 2 guitarists, keyboarder, drummer, herself, and her 4 managers or max etc...) that's about 800 per person, 9600...16600, so far...and so they have to make a profit somewhere...

Uhhh that's really not a lot. I'm suprised it's not much higher.

lolo66 28th April 2005 05:38 AM

don't know, but the amount probably is very little compared to what she earns, when spread out daily

CyberSpaceQueen 28th April 2005 09:16 AM

wow, that's really amazing for one performance.
I wish I would get so much money in one evening, too.

AyuDan 28th April 2005 03:38 PM

yes the price i put is a solid number that i officially got from a avex. sammie's price "10000" is the total amount btw. and 5000 for one songplus 3000 per additional, it comes out out to be in a "3 song performance" its comes out to be about 23-24000 dollars with alll expenses together
