Horrible back vocals in old namie, hitomi and globe songs...

I've noticed that in hitomi, namie and globe older songs there is a guy with a horrible voice that sings the back vocals. Is that TK? I mean, he's the only factor I think is common to all of these artists old career. :shrug

Yes, it's TK. You never noticed before? Anyway, horrible is a matter of taste ;)

ahah I had noticed it first at the globe songs and I though it was MARC it first but then I realized it couldn't be him. Later I noticed that simillar voice in a few hitomi songs and only then I noticed he was also on namie songs. I was not sure if it was indeed TK, I'm not sure if i ever heard him singing anything other than back vocals. I guess I don't like it because I think the contrast of his voice with KEIKO, hitomi and namie sounds a bit weird. :laugh

PSYCHEDELICOdust 3rd July 2005 10:17 PM

Ahaha, you think that's bad, Tsunku in the back of Hello! Project songs is worse. -_-

BanFan 3rd July 2005 10:26 PM

Hm..I've never heard him, which songs are they? But I've only heard a few old Namie and hitomi songs, and no globe songs. ><;

I like Tsunku in 'YAH! Aishitai!', he's kind of funny! He reminds me of the guys in Ai's Happy Days or the voice that says "Yoosh" or "Yooww" in Tenchi Muyo! XD

Coelacanth 3rd July 2005 10:30 PM

:laugh Yeah, I first noticed in 'a walk in the park'... It's sort of annoying.

I love TSUNKU in 'Shabondama'.. :laugh

Ahahaha. 95% of the song. :thud

ssj_montse 3rd July 2005 10:48 PM

Of course it's TK! When you listen to a Namie's single (for example, CAN YOU CELEBRATE) the instrumental track is called BACK TRACK WITH TK :roflmao

ImpactBreaker 3rd July 2005 10:54 PM

^haha true, i guess I never paid much attention :laugh

hmmm i listened to TK's Throwin'down in the double 0 and if that is his voice singing it sounds pretty cool, different from his voice in the back vocals....

Some songs I can hear his back vocals are:
namie - RESPECT the POWER OF LOVE, How To Be A Girl, a walk in the park, CAN YOU CELEBRATE
hitomi - In the future, pretty eyes
globe - FREEDOM, Joy to the love, Feel like dance (MARC sings too and his voice is pretty good so be careful not get the voices confused/mistaken)

you can hear it better in the instrumental tracks specially in the chorus...

IS Tk in Namie's "I Have Never Seen"

nmskalmn 4th July 2005 03:31 AM

I just listened to globe's "Here I Am" for the first time. I'm pretty sure there's a TK bg vocal in that too.

hah , I think TK kinda sucks at both singing & producing. He has made some really good early globe , Namie and hitomi songs tho , but mostly they aren't so good.

hitomi's music became a lot better when TK stopped producing for her , and same with Namie. TK's work on globe is a bit better , but I still don't like it that much. I'm not a bg fan of globe , but I like them remixed a lot . same with TRF :D

hitomi's 'My Planet' is in my opinion a good example of a good track by TK , thank god he doesn't sing the backup vocals in it tho :P

I don't think that TK's backup vocals are that bad...

This is an ancient thread but needs to be revived because TK's voice in those old songs is just horrid and can't ever be ignored.

As a previous poster said, not as bad as TSUNKU... In all honesty though, I think TK's back vocals only work on globe songs

visionfactory 4th December 2014 07:42 PM

I like those backing vocals but do we really know that it's TK?

Half of Hello Project songs have backing vocals by someone else that is not Tsunku but he sounds a lot like him

Surreal17 4th December 2014 10:29 PM

Never thought that the bk vocals are TK's but they are a bit distracting and annoying.

If you listen to some of Komuro's solo stuff where he sings, like the first "Digitalian is Eating Breakfast" album, it's clear it's his voice. It did take some getting used to for me but now I love his voice and I especially love hearing it in the background of songs he has done(I love Tomomi Kahala's "Keep Yourself Alive").
