VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL: The String Tribute To Björk

Quote:

Description:
VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL: THE STRING TRIBUTE TO BJORK features classic instrumental renditions of her introspective and atmospheric songs.

Details:
Ever since her days fronting groundbreaking Icelandic band The Sugarcubes, Bjork has reigned supreme as the most innovative artist of our time. Her songs are richly layered emotional soundscapes full of complex structures and exuberant orchestration, pulling listeners in with her passionate, one-of-a-kind voice that is at once intense, powerful and heartbreakingly beautiful.

VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL: THE STRING TRIBUTE TO BJORK features classic instrumental renditions of her introspective and atmospheric songs. This collection gives an epic sweep to Bjork’s songs that resonates with new intensity when performed by these versatile cellists, violists and violinists. VIOLENTLY BEAUTIFUL strips Bjork’s sonic testaments to their bare essence, the symphonic arrangements that are the core of her music, the artists using the rich tones of their stringed instruments to capture the true spirit of Bjork’s lush and dreamy vocal stylings. An absolute must for even the most casual of Bjork fans…

I find this tribute pretty interesting!! If you're a Björk fan and/or if you like the Princess China Music Orchestra tribute to Ayu, you should look for this album!! :luv2

The "Army of Me" string version is the most interesting sample featured on the website...some great distorted strings, and the string playing the chorus part is just amazing...very beautiful. =)

So...What do you think of it?? :innocent
