Recommendation?

Ok..one last thread...
Which CD do you guys recommend i buy next?
I have My Story & Rainbow..
I wanted to buy either:
LOVEppears
Memorial Address
I am...
Or Duty?
I know "I am" is good, but i kinda wanted ot be in for a suprise..songs i haven't heard.
Anyway..what do you people think?
BTW, i have heard almost nothing from "Duty" and about half of "LOVEppears"

It depends on what mood you want, LOVEppears is an almost pure "Dance" album. I like it a lot, it has many really cool and up-beat songs, but also some of her most beautiful ballads, like "who..". Duty is more soft and pop-ish.

Go with Duty. "End of the World" and the title track alone are worth the price of the CD.

Mad_Cactuar 18th September 2005 11:52 AM

>Agreed. END OF THE WORLD is so good you will scream. But DUTY requires lots and lots of repeated plays to be fully enjoyed.. The track that will grab your attention right away will be DUTY, the title track, perfection.. Plus there's FAR AWAY and SEASONS!! I love FAR AWAY, its soooo gooooddd!! I think I'm the only one who thinks that.. I think the worst track is AUDIENCE.. But its still great!
9/10

>You can also buy I AM.. for the gallery of singles (12 out of 16 are used to promote the album!!!). However, the album makes me very sleepy and lethargic.. CONNECTED, I AM, UNITE!, ENDLESS SORROW and EVOLUTION are superb!! Plus the famous, sacred M is in there.. Its also very lengthy at 71 minutes and 16 tracks, including the hidden treasure FLOWER GARDEN!! I just find NO MORE WORDS to be too dull eventhough its pretty good.. But sleeeeepppyy....
8.5/10

>MEMORIAL ADDRESS!!! YOU DONT HAVE IT?!! Its full of perfection! NO WAY TO SAY, OURSELVES, FORGIVENESS!!! Plus MEMORIAL ADDRESS comes with a 8 track DVD with videos for every track except the bonus track and a preview for A MUSEUM! However, its so short you'll get dissapointed.. 8 tracks only.. Personally I think the title track has some horrible BG vocals and is probably the worst eventhough its really good..
8.5/10

>LOVEPPEARS and A SONG FOR XX I dont know, LOVEPPEARS is next on my list after buying HEAVEN! If you cant decide, theres always A BALLADS and A BEST!!!

I say Duty as well, easily Ayu's best album.

~ayu-cake~ 18th September 2005 12:23 PM

I personally think I am... is pretty over-rated so not that, lol.

I'd say either Duty or LOVEppears, going more towards Duty, tis my favourite Ayu album ^___^

Mhm...i absoluty LOVE "End of the World"
And i forgot to mention...i was thinking of Buying
A Best or A Ballads
Damn i am so confused.
& I have Heard the song "Duty"..it's pretty good, but the version i have, the sound sucks.
Anyway...Everyone here seems to recommend "Duty" the most....hmm....
Ok, one more question.
Would that Album fit my likings?
Songs i really like are "I am..." "Appears" "end of the world" "Forgiveness" "GAME" "Surreal"
Etc.
Of course, i did not list many duty songs, because i have heard almost none of the songs.
So, should i try it?
Do you think i'll be in for a big, awesome suprise? (or close to it)
P.S....I know "Memorial Address" has a DVD >_>; makes it harder to decide.
Thank you guys so much for helping me decide.

lotusoka 19th September 2005 02:05 AM

I would say Memorial Address, but for the number of songs, its not worth it. *Except for the stunning cover*

So its a mix between DUTY and I am...

Memorial Address, DUTY, and I am are my favorite albums. I would suggest I am first, then DUTY. I am is a fun album, full of familiar tunes, and has a variety of differant styles in it. (then again, you might want a CD without as many familiar songs XD)

Ayumi no Yume 19th September 2005 02:57 AM

heh, well..thanks...i think i'll try to get "Duty", then "Memorial address" then, "LOVEppears" or "I am..."..
And eventually "A Song for XX"
thank you guys!

Qt Mashi 19th September 2005 03:20 AM

i tihnk memorial address, though Duty is my favourite album :)

Delirium-Zer0 19th September 2005 04:05 AM

If you want something you haven't heard much of and that's REALLY GOOD, go with Duty. Seriously.

Duty Duty Duty.

PickleCookies 19th September 2005 04:21 AM

Duty, LOVEppears and A Song for XX.

blitzball 19th September 2005 06:33 AM

the sixty-four-thousand-dollar .... Memorial Address of course ^^.

RAISKA 20th September 2005 06:28 PM

DUTY!!!!!!!! My fav, and have megahits! MUST BUY!

Yarumi 20th September 2005 06:41 PM

tough choice... I would get LOVEppears first... But Duty is a great second choice... either way you chose... you'll win XD

Beyond the Sea 20th September 2005 07:06 PM

A Song for XX: Cute music
LOVEppears: Techno Dance music
Duty: Powerful music
I am..: PopRock music
Rainbow: Unique music
Memorial Address: Rainbow of Music
My Story: Rock music

You choose :D

Annabelle 20th September 2005 07:48 PM

Get "LOVEppears". There are classics on this one. Great album :yes

LacusClyne 22nd September 2005 01:39 AM

i would say get duty 1st, then LOVEppears. as for a song for XX, there's a lot of great songs, but ayu's voice was too much high pitch. so, get it last. :yes

Ayumi no Yume 22nd September 2005 01:57 AM

OK, i placed an order on "DUTY"
let's count the votes one last time(XD for fun)
Duty-||||||
Memorial Address-||
LOVEppears-|||
I am...-|
or something..i got kinda confused..
O_o..
So, did i make a good choice??

Delirium-Zer0 22nd September 2005 04:33 AM

I think so. I definitely think so. That's the album that i skip the least tracks on, really; I'll listen to that one straight through and on repeat more often than any other ayu stuff really. Even if i do like the I am... album as a whole more, i skip around on that one, get sick of half the tracks every now & then.

Duty has some underestimated gems on it like "SCAR"... and some legendary songs like the vogue/Far away/SEASONS trilogy and "teddy bear". I do wish "ever free", from the vogue single, had been on it though. No idea why it wasn't on there; the album has only 12 tracks, so there would have been room for it. (It doesn't really "fit" anywhere though... maybe that's why.)
