An Ayu photo for my English essay~
Well at school I have to choose a photo/picture and write a short story about a “hero”, and im going to choose Ayu as my hero… If u can think of a brief outline for my short story please help I have no idea, doesnt have to be realistic
Or if u can find a better picture that would make a better story then please post it here :) so which picture should I choose? And why? And please help me with some ideas or a brief outline :P http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...FreeEasy23.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...amasaki135.jpg |
For this project I like the first picture more - it automatically induces the idea of 'hero'/'heroine'. Very Joan-of-Arc-ish, in my opinion.
As for the story, what ideas do you have for your story all ready? What're the limitations for it, etc.? Do you have a handout from your teacher that'd give us all more information? |
I like the second picture more, it's like she's your angel and she's looking down on you and she guides you. But you can also use the first picture, that one does have the heroine idea behind it like Kendelle said...
As for the story, maybe something about her lyrics? That her songs helped you through various situations in your life? Hmm, I don't know anything else, this is the first thing that popped into my head. Anyway, good luck on your essay! :) |
I'd go for the Free & Easy one... don't know what you'd write about it tho...
|
First Pic: I can't think of anything except that she does something Joan-of-Arc-ish.
OR You could look at the sword as a symbol for something else.. Like her sister/friend/someone was kidnapped and she went to save them. Or maybe she's cutting away some old habit...?? Second Pic: I'd pick this one out of the two.. because it's more to your imagination. Hmmm... maybe she is an angel, because she died defending something/someone? eg. She went to save someone (drowning perhaps?) and didn't survive My story isn't going so well either XD |
If you need an image for the theme of the hero image #1 will do the job.

i still dunno which i should do, im leaning towards the Endless Sorrow pic though |
i would choose endless sorrow, aprat from being a very reoresentative song by her, the other joan d'arc s very heroine thing, i think it seems she's a heroine because she did something heroic in te history or something. besides, to be a first impression of ayu, if the teacher sees the joa d'ar first, he or shee will think: what does this female think about??? the other is more artistic in musical terms, so, yes, i would prefer endless sorrow one ^^
edit: besides, you can represent her even as more heroic woman, in spite of having many difficulties (represent in the pic but the missing wing) she's been able to evercome all the handicaps, and you know... write a short fictionalosed biography of her... oh, i love to write short stories, i shoud get on that again haha |

Or something like that (I hope it's not too lame :D). Anyway, I'd go with the Endless Sorrow picture. Ayu composed the song herself, and the Free & Easy picture might be a bit too obvious. I like the subtleness of the Endless Sorrow photo. (It took me a while to notice the missing wing too ;) ) |
1st one is more "hero-ish". 2nd one is more "your-angel-ish".
So I say the 1st picture. Goes perfectly with the theme of hero. |
i pick endless sorrow cause u can write something like this is a pics of after her experiences of *insert heroic incident*(ie save a friend or something) but then also lost people close to her. and in the pic she's on the top of a high sky scraper cause she's trying to find meaning in life again. i mean, she has accomplished her mission...do u get what i am trying to say.....>.<

^ ive read the lyrics before, but now when i read it again and look at the picture it's so sad! :cry
i could use some words from those lyrics ;) |

I like the Joan of Arc picture... Here's one of my favorite from that photo shoot.. don't know if you consider it better than the sword swinging one though :)
You shoudl maybe write about someone who almost gives up... but in the end remembering someone she thinks of as a 'hero' makes her not give up... kinda like a chain... she things of someone else as a hero and models after them... then someone looks up etc.. Am I just rambling... I'm not good at making up stories... but the angel one sounds more like a fantasy than a reality... I think realities do much better in school classes than fantasies... unless the assignment is to specifically write a fantasy :) Anyways like someone suggested the lyrics to Endless Sorry here is the translated version lyrics of Free and Easy :) Maybe helps alittle with what I'm saying FREE & EASY Sometimes I ask myself, how much farther will I have to go? I hear your voice. I hear a voice saying "don't give up" I remember the words "Your happiness is my happiness" If you're tired of denying things and seem as if you're not yourself... Belive in me. I'll always be here. The proof that you're alive exists inside of me. In this, this dirty city, you're the person who gathers up and shows me something beautiful. I hear your voice. I hear a voice saying "don't give up" Believe in me. I'll always be standing here. In this, this dirty city, you're the person who gathers up and shows me something beautiful. I'll always protect you, so you never ever lose that which you have clutched close to your heart. Sometimes I ask myself, how much farther will I have to go? ###################### Oh and I attached my fav pic of the Joan of Arc photoshoot... it kinda illustrates Free & Easy better than the pic you have above... This song is kinda Ayu speaking in her head... and she looks like she's contemplating giving up or going on in this picture... :) Sorry if I wasn't any help |
I'd suggest you to choose the Endless sorrow one. I really like Free&Easy and Ayu's dressing as Jeanne d'Arc but if you choose the first picture your hero might appear to be Jeanne d'Arc instead of Ayu. The second picture is somewhat more Ayu to me.
|
I'd go more with the second picture... then read the lyrics to POWDER SNOW, Endless sorrow, and ever free. Make your story about someone sacrificing herself to save a friend from commiting suicide. This is gonna sound so depressing but here's the idea:
Someone we'll just call "the girl" is looking in a mirror about to cut her wrists. Ayu is outside knocking on the door, but no one's answering. Ayu is quiet for a moment and hears the girl crying from the almost-closed bathroom window which is on the same side of the house as the front door. Ayu sees the girl hesitating with the razor blade. The house is locked up so ayu has to break in through the bathroom window, so she does and tries to talk sense into the girl. It doesn't work, so ayu has to tackle the razor blade away from her. A huge fight breaks out and somehow, in the mess of glass and the razorblade, Ayu's throat gets cut. Not directly enough to kill her immediately, but enough that it's a guarantee that she won't make it. She starts bleeding uncontrollably, and the girl gets a towel or something to try to put pressure on the vein to stop it, but it only postpones the inevitable. As ayu is dying she instills some kind of great wisdom as to why the girl shouldn't give up and keep on living, so the girl tosses the razorblade out the window, and Ayu smiles, satisfied, just before closing her eyes. I probably added more details than i needed to but I at least left alot of gaps for you to fill in. ^_^ |
I think you should choose the first picture. The photo itself shows that she is a warrior who will fight for every person that has been in pain and heartaches. Actually, she is also my heroine...she changed my life! Ayu is my savior....
