[2005] What do you do with your CD's?

When you get your pruchase through the mail or when you buy them do:

1. Never open it
2. Open it in a heartbeat and listen to it
3. Open some, but I also keep some unopened
4. On some CD's/All CD's I buy one and leave it un opened and but the exact same one and listen to it.
5. Other (Please Specify)

1. Never do that.

2. Tend not to, if it's something fresh I haven't downloaded to listen to prior to purchasing, I like to savour the flavour of the music when I'm not busy.

3. Tend to be what I do most often, I only don't open some because I don't have time to deal/listen to it yet, or because I've already heard the mp3s so I'm not as eager, I never buy CDs to keep them forever sealed. o_O

4. Don't have that money, rather spend it on more different music if I were to buy two copies of the same thing simultaneously with that in mind.

So I guess that's 75% option 3 and 23% option 5?

I just open them, I buy CDs to listen to them and to check out the artwork.

starioul 27th October 2005 12:46 PM

Open and listen to it. I would probably find it waste of the CD if I didn't do that.

Mad_Cactuar 27th October 2005 12:57 PM

I'd open it carefully, wash my hands. check the artwork, and listen to it! ^^

elepop 27th October 2005 01:37 PM

I buy, open, listen.

drewbilation 27th October 2005 01:45 PM

Number two. Then, I usually rip MP3s and put the CD away.

HanabiChick 27th October 2005 01:59 PM

I open it and listen to it, I prefer to listen to CDs instead of mp3s because I could listen to a CD anywhere, it will play in most things.

heyrill 27th October 2005 03:32 PM

i throw it into my computer, i rip em to my harddrive, and i sell it on ebay :yes

jk jk i should do that tho :yes

i dont buy many cd's theres very little CD's that I think are 100% buyable, usually i only liek 2 tracks, but theres a few that are worth it.

I open it in a heartbeat and listen to it. Although I do open the CD carefully, because I keep the cellophane from a Japanese album if it has a sticker on it.

Yeah, thats what I do too, unless I don't have any CD-Rs with me, I tend not to listen to the real thing a lot of times.

I do too. Then I look at the booklet during 2 hours and realize how lucky I am to have the CD.

Erm, the import CD's I buy and open, but I immediately make a copy of it and don't actually listen to the original CD.

jerms 28th October 2005 12:31 AM

well i definitely don't just leave it unopened, and i don't buy 2 copies either. generally i'll open it bu tkeep the entire package in mint condition. (cd, case, etc.)...i even stick the sticker on the wrap onto the case.

Joel 28th October 2005 12:36 AM

:D I put the stickers on this thing that holds all the paper stuff that comes with CD's (not booklets).

The next one when I get THE Manpower!!!

The theme for Rakuten sticker is goin on my cell phone... :D

One thing I love about Japan version, is that their factory seal is even designed for you to open neatly, that way you can open it and keep it mint with sticker on shrinkwrap with OBI on the side and everything!

From buying 2nd hand CDs, I've noticed sliding the OBI in the jewel case between the booklets is probably a better idea than chucking them all together jumbled up in a box though. It saves alot of trouble when you want to find it and refer to something.
