have anyone seen that...

in the first part of the Real me PV ....says "staring: ayumi hamasaki"(not staRRing)

and in the making of Real me....when Chiharu talks.....below says Dance creater( and not creatOr)

AyuGAME 5th December 2005 05:56 AM

i think staring is right, isnt it?
dance creater is wrong, but i'm not really sure
my english isn't that good too

HanabiChick 5th December 2005 09:25 AM

Staring means you keep looking at something intently, like if you saw Ayu walking towards you would probably stare at her until she passes you by, or if you stare at a work of art because it is so beautiful. So staring is the wrong word, starring is right. Creater is definitely wrong.

omg! i didnt notice but that's such a BAD BAD spelling mistake, they were the only few english words in the PV and they stuffed it up

fεяnαndδ 5th December 2005 12:52 PM

XDD I noticed that, too.

It's kinda surprising to see wrong words on a commercial video...
and anyway, about my name's WOMEN.. I think it's a right idea and even a good words...
coz by using the plural "WOMEN" which meant that Ayu on the behalf of all WOMEN to create the lyrics....

maybe i'm wrong, is not "woman"?

devilayu 5th December 2005 05:41 PM

Well, stuff like this happens on her DVD's and CD's all the time but most people aren't looking for the mistakes. ^_^;

Madgirlslovesong 5th December 2005 05:54 PM

:shakehead You would think that someone would catch these things. I doubt that Ayu had anything to do with the credits of her PV, btw.

Also, the reason that "my name's WOMEN" is incorrect is because you are using a plural noun to describe a singular noun. It's hard to describe but basically you are saying, "my name is women." It should be "my name's WOMAN" (which still isn't that great) or "our name's WOMEN" (which still sounds wrong to me...) if you want to be technical about it. A better title might have been "we are WOMEN" or something to that effect.

At least that's my two cents. *shrugs*

yep, i've seen mistakes like this before. i remember i've seen some of her performances on ayuready? where it said "guiter" instead of "guitar."

or maybe its a typo error..
(lol.. trying to get lame here) -__-:o :o

^ Rofl... A and E aren't exactly THAT close to each other on a keyboard.

It'll be OK. Engrish is a fact of life. I'm sure we sound just as stupid to Japanese people when we try to speak/write it.

AyUmIXx 5th December 2005 07:13 PM

my name's WOMEN is only a title of a song..
and usually song is using an unique title to attract ppl's attention..
I think my name's WOMEN has a very deep meaning...

Yarumi 5th December 2005 09:06 PM

lol gotta love Ayu's engrish staff...

staring as someone said is derived from the word STARE (an intenese gaze upon someone)

while starring comes from STAR (a gaseous orb in space)\

lol, here's some random info... In English you mostly follow this rule ---> When adding 'ING' to a word you add a double consonant when the last letter is a consonant and the letter before is a vowel...

EXAMPLE: STOP ----> STO[bold]PP[/bold]ING
PLOT ---> PLO[bold]TT[/bold]ING

:)

And on a random note how do you like my definitions of Star??? I thought it up ALL on my own! I should reinvent the Webster Dictionary and make it the Yaru-Dictionary!

mmm....just the other day i noticed a spelling mistake in my A Museum dvd. it said Thanks to all who participated this tour.
