Fairyland performance in Kohaku - Opinions

So what everybody tought?

I tought it was OK. The dress with the flowers thing she already used a bazilion times before and her voice wasn't the best [she shouted too much on the chorus start]. And the special effect was a little lame, but it was nice, anyway. I liked the dancers 'tho, almost the same as the PV.

Opinions?

the performance isn't bad...it's true that at some parts she did shouted a bit too loud...but oh well...looks like both the crowd and ayu enjoyed themselves. it scared me when the thing at the back of the stage started to move, because i thought it wasn't suppose to move from watching other performances...
she looks absolutely adorable in the flower custome! i wished she would dance a bit more though...
overall...an okay performance~

I think her voice sounds more controlled here. The costumes, excellent. The dancers enhanced the scene alot. I think it was overall pretty good. :) but like everyone said, she shouted alittle too much on the chorus.

Pretty much the entire Kohaku wasn't that great. It seems to be getting worse and worse every year. Ayu's performance was one of the few highlights, but it wasn't one of her best.

I agree that it's not her best fairyland performance and also how her voice seems more controlled. At least she doesn't emphasize her vibrato as much as she did on her previous performances at the end of each line. I thought she looked awesome with the flower dress and everything, sorta brings you back to summer.. lolz

yeah its not her best in terms of vocals.. but its also not the worst.. i think the dress isnt suitable for such event.. it seems heavy and it is difficult for her to turn and dance with it..

cut down on those flowers. they are kinda overdone.

The_Swede 1st January 2006 12:32 PM

I think it was quite nice... But she could have a little fewer flowers in her hair...

She looks like a flowerpot. O_o

I tot she look pretty in that flower suit. Her vocal in kouhaku is much more better than in music station. I tot she did v well in kouhaku if consider she have to move ard and dance about. i tot her dancing move altohough is simple but its well done. It does not look clumsy unlike in real me pv. So i will say it very well done there.

Actually it was quite enjoyable and spectacular though the vocals were a bit lacking. The outfit was okay but kinda weird.

pretty good... sounded not so good at first but got really pretty good by the end ^^ I LOVE AYU! I wish she had sung at Times Square instead of Mariah Carey or Hilary Duff >.<

momobean 1st January 2006 06:27 PM

I wasn't very impressed by her singing... or the backup dancers :(

Her performance was okay, but I didn't really like her dress all that much.

evolution105 1st January 2006 07:09 PM

I thought the performance was alright, not her best but fine. like i said the flower dress reminded me of forgiveness in Museum. I just hopep when it comes to her AT when she performs fairyland, it will have an exotic feel like a rainforest set.

Calico 1st January 2006 11:28 PM

I thought it was...okay. When she moved around in her dress she looked very elegant, but her vocals were kinda eh. Then again, it sounded like there was a huge echo where she was singing. I also wish that her two main male dancers would've put their shirts on...they were kinda distracting. :laugh

I thought it was a nice performance, not bad at all. After re-watching it, she did kinda shout some parts of the chorous. It looked like she had fun and enjoyed it, though.

Super Ichiban 2nd January 2006 01:43 AM

I thought the costumes were creepy.

orangeland 2nd January 2006 01:53 AM

it was pretty good. her hair didn't really seem to match the outfit though (i'm still used to her old hair TT -- but her new hair's nice too :D)
