Does anyone know A Mei?
 

Does anyone know A Mei, shes a popular singer in Taiwan and was rated as the queen of Chinese pop. I haven't seen any decent a Mei Forum and wondered if A mei is really that Popular. I used to like he until she began to lose popularity. So does anyone like A mei out there?

I think she can sing pretty well..

I never really listened to Amei before but I like the song Zhen Shi.

She's got a lovely voice. I haven't heard much from her, but I really enjoy her ballads, though her more upbeat stuff isn't as good.

I love her, she's one of the talented singer in Taiwan. (or maybe the only singer who knew how to sing well.) you're right, miyuchan, she's not that popular as before. I think Warner Music destroyed her.

A mei is a good singer! She has such a strong voice and I recall articles of residents complaining because their apartments were trembling when A mei had her concert in the stadium nearby! It's kind of sad that her popularity and even music has taken quite a dip but I still think she's a DIVA!

I don't know any of A-Mei's music but I know her name because she was considered the main rival to Coco Lee (who I listened to a lot a bunch of years ago) Haven't heard much news since then, though. She did used to be huge, though, my mom listened to her music.

although i haven't listened to her for a while i seriously LOVE A Mei's voice. I'm gonna have to dig out the disc i burned the mp3's too and try it out again :)

Wow, i thought know one knew her since she lost some popularity when she released her lastes album Maybe TOmorrow. I wonder when her next album will arrive?

She belongs to the talented portion of artists in Taiwan. I think her popularity seems that it's falling because nowdays, many Taiwanese idols who can't sing are hogging over MTVchinese and fans just go crazy over them *shrugs* instead of paying more attention to talented ones who can really sing like Ah Mei.

Ah Mei's live singing is very good btw.

I enjoy Amei's older songs more than her newer ones...(rock?)
anywho...if I remember it correctly she was "frozen" by her record label company because she did something really stupid...it cause a big problem for her to cross the border to China..when she was about to held a concert in China
she got banned from entering the China border...
can't remember what she did...it was something involve with Japan :shrug

I love A Mei. I have her 2003 concert DVD and she sings live very well.

NO this person wasn't on Kouhaku. I think it was someone else, a more traditional chinese singer.
