Things we may have forgotten

Does anyone remember anything that happened regarding ayu anytime in the past, that it seems like alot of ayu fans have forgotten?

For me, I remember when I learned that Rebecca Chambers in the then-upcoming Resident Evil Zero was modeled after Ayu.

And I remember that the low-quality mp3 file of "I am..." that was going around WAY before the album's release had louder instruments... i remember liking it better than the album version.

. . . Whatever happened to "EGG"? :laugh

Hmm. . . something that comes to mind is how "Endless sorrow" was originally called "SEPIA." Was that ever confirmed? I thought it was, then Ayu decided to change the name at the last minute.

I also remember about one of the CDL concerts being broadcast online for the first time (for a fee?). I thought it was the one Ayu did when "evolution" first came out which was how everyone heard it for the first time. I might be wrong.

Oh, I remember when "RAINBOW" (the song) was first leaked and everyone thought it was the best song ever, hehe.

Edit: Oooh, another one! I remember how shocked everyone was when the "Free & Easy" single was released with only 2 remixes instead of being a standard 10-track one. There was a lot of speculation about what Avex's reasoning was behind it. And, of course, the start of Avex's failed CCCD campaign.

And the most memorable one of all. . .

Ayu wanted to leave Avex and work with Max Matsuura's "future" record company. After other Avex artists decided to do the same thing, Avex settled the problem and Max was promoted.

it still is! :yes

i can't remember anything right now, but i love the idea for this thread. i'll contribute if i think of anything.

edit: oh, i just thought of something...does anyone else remember that mysterious remix mp3 of Duty? No one knew where it came from but it was speculated that it may have been an unreleased mix. I haven't seen it floating around in forever now.

that's quite interesting because i joined AHS later then those things happening

gogirlanime 7th January 2006 02:02 AM

When we thought the Inspire single was originally called "G" for a while I think Avex was gonna call it that lol.

elepop 7th January 2006 02:05 AM

I remember "I am..."'s titles were all changed because of the 9/11 tragedy.

stardusties 7th January 2006 02:07 AM

^ really? ...wow! that's interesting! do you know the original titles?

andre2907 7th January 2006 02:26 AM

That's a very interesting topic.

I became an Ayu fan not long ago. But Unite! would be called Survivors and M, Bliss.

o_o; i remember when i didn't know about AHS, then i finally came here, and the egg joke had been reborn, and i was like, "wtf?" and then i got it, and now it's funny.
Good times..

LMAO I remember that. Then "J" and "K" rumors appeared :laugh

elepop 7th January 2006 02:56 AM

"Memorial Address" >>> Rumored to be called "Gold Ayu". LOL.

Oh wow, I remember that I am... mp3 leak, it was so cool.
It was probably a rumor, but I remember learning that RAINBOW was going to be called Genesis, and I went everywhere saying, "Get Ayu's newest album Genesis!", and then like two days later it was RAINBOW.
I remember the leak for Dearest came out on 9/11. I listened to that song with the news on mute, and just watched...

I'm referring to when Avex started putting copy-control software on their disks, preventing people from playing/ripping the CDs on their computer. It didn't work very well.

Kikaru 7th January 2006 04:58 AM

I remember something about the release of I am... was put off because of 9/11 tragedy, and the Dearest single cover might have been very similiar to the original I am... cover.

I am... cover is also changed because of the 9/11 tragedy.

I can't think of anything off of the top of my head - most of anything I could think of would be more recent anyway - but this is a really interesting thread.

Vinylfantasy 7th January 2006 05:32 AM

I still laugh my ass off everytime I see her forget her Voyage lyrics that one time. Classic.

Chibi_Venus 7th January 2006 05:48 AM

Hmm. This 9/11 stuff is really interesting. *hopes for details* :) My uncle and his girlfriend were, sadly, on flight 175 (it was the second plane to go into the towers). Does anyone know if the lyrics were changed, or just titles?

I rememeber... hmm... excuse me, are we remembering things that happened with us and Ayu for the first time? *is not sure for the right choice of words* :P

If so, I remember when I first heard 'evolution' on a Sailor Moon site. :D The 'webmistress' likes Ayumi as well.

spacelion 7th January 2006 05:59 AM

I remembered when INSPIRE first came out and how the people were dissapointed.
