English lyrics in Ladies Night?

Around 2:30 mins into the song, does anyone know what exactly is being sung? Part of it sounds like:
"...Even so, you don't ever need to think you can beat them..." or something like that...

Keishi 18th March 2006 10:16 AM

DJ lose him, can't replace him (danger)
hate him don't even so,
you don't ever (need to)
think you can beat him (need to)

is that what you mean?

Tasked 18th March 2006 11:09 AM

Danger lose him, come place him (or. Can replace him)
hate him, then even so,
you don't ever need to think you can't leave him

that would be more likely to be actual lyrics considering that's what the whole song is about (especially in the original SWEETBOX version it's about getting rid of a lazy boyfriend.

^ yeah i think its this one.

There's a discussion here.

This was discussed SO long ago.

Rody!'s lyrics are the most accurate, IMO.

Norrel 18th March 2006 11:46 PM

Rody's is right, but I heard it's

Danger lose him, come and place him
You don't ever need to
Think you can date him

O_O

Atleast it's not as bad as the one's chibi sunny posted..

Hazuki 18th March 2006 11:53 PM

It should be in one of the Sweetbox lyrics threads.. Since Ayu took it from there :X

Ayumi no Yume 19th March 2006 12:21 AM

Yes.
It's called background vocals.

I really couldn't make out what she was saying in there, and that one sounded the most accurate to me. ;)
But you can always check out Sweetbox's thread since it was her lyrics.

Jennie Mae 19th March 2006 07:09 PM

I thought it was "Ditch them, lose them, can't please them, hate them and even so, you don't ever think you can win."
Or something.
It's forgiveness all over again!!!

.llama 20th March 2006 12:48 AM

Whatever translation it really is, none of them really make perfect sense to me :shrug

But didn't Ayu write her own lyrics for the songs? Or did she keep the english parts the same? Anyways, I could never make it out completely myself. :)

hallelujah_united 20th March 2006 01:15 PM

Neither could I. I've listened to it so many times that now I'm confused.

I think she did keep it. If you listen to Sweetbox's Ladies Night, it sounds really similar. But Ayu's English is harder to recognize:headache

At any rate, don't say "them"... The whole song is about redding rid of a boyfriend. So the ONLY logical word there is HIM, not them!!!!!! Why would "ditch them, lose them" make any sense? It's more likely "ditch him, lose him"; and can't replace him? that's dumb aswell... That's like saying: "get rid of your lousy boyfriend, you can't leave and replace him"... so it's CAN..not can't!

Mirai Noah 20th March 2006 10:34 PM

^ Well, "them" could be males is general. That's what I thought. :shrug
