Furusato - Morning Musume: A COVER???
 

well i recently downloaded the Folk Songs album...and i noticed a song called Furusato when listening...it had the same lyrics as Momusu's but the music was a little old-schoolerish. Folk Songs contains folk songs and classics, am i right? then why is Furusato there?

Err, the "Folk Songs" album you downloaded is a Hello!Project release, with Yuko Nakazawa and Sayaka Ichii, right? Tsunku did write the song-- it's not a cover. Furusato's on there, because, er, it is.

yes thats the one....oh ok...i just found it kinda weird that it would be on an album titled FOLK SONGS

Since the release of Furusato, it has been sung by other members for like at least 4 times.. Takitty and Risa are two of them (that all i can remember).

The album is called Folk Songs, but the songs on it aren't folk songs. They're famous songs, classics. Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs Robinson" is on it too, and songs like "Olivia wo kiki nagara" and "Sotsugyou Shashin". If you want to hear folk music, you should listen to the Douyou Pops albums. They contain Asian folk songs for kids, sung by H!P members.
