Janet Jackson's COUNTDOWN SURPRISE
 

On Janet's official website (janetjackson.com); apparently she'd been holding a countdown to a surprise for her fans. When I woke up this afternoon I checked her site to find a streaming of one of her new songs from her album...

The song is called "Weekend" & it's very reminiscent of her CONTROL days MIXXED with a modern-day feel. The song is still availible to stream...I downloaded the full-version* of the MP3 but b/c we aren't allowed to share American music I can't put it on YSI or anything like that...

Umm, the new Janet single (it may/may not be "Weekend") is expected to be released THIS MONTH... & her album is to be out sometime this fall...

*I don't know if the full-version is availibe for stream or not...I downloaded mine from a blog.

I'll check it out cuz she always had decent music!

EDIT: I LOVE IT! I am listening to it now but I think it is a cover because this is an old song but it is AWESOME!

yeah it is a cover by somebody...but I can't remember who. I'll write it later this afternoon. But someone the lyrics are related to the BEPs someone said.

I heard it too , I'm not too exited about it.

I'm still looking forward to her next album. I liked her last album too eventho it wasn't that well-received.

"Weekend" is not her new single it's just a surprise. The new single will be called, "Call on Me" & debuts on the radio June 19th. The new album will be called "20 Years Old" & so will her new tour!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS...I'm so totally going to one of her shows...(prays that she comes to North Carolina...)

I love Janet. I've got most of her albums (just missing the two pre-Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis albums! =o). Hope she doesn't disappoint with the new one. <3
