Can you help me like Koda Kumi?
 

sometime I thiink soemthings wrong with me like I have a split personality but I really want to start to like her For a second Ilike one of her songs and then think shes a really cool person but then when I hear stuff like how Kumi is doing better than Ayu I get mad and Jealous I don't want to be that way towrd Kumi becuase sometimes I ike the things she does and releases so I want to start to like her I guess its because I don't want someone to take AYu's place because I really idolize her but I want to give Kumi a chance because she seems like a good artist so can you help me stop hating her?

no one make you like a person... it's all just matter of personal taste, of you don't like kuu there's nothing to worry about... but if you do...

Kuu has struggled alot to gain where she is today... she's been through tough times with her sales... her music is really catchy... she's just as diversed as ayu with genre.

PErhaps you should try to focus on the music and not care about th eperson behind it. The next time yuo hear a koda song try to think it's a totally new artist you never heard before. ;) I try to do that with every song I hear.

Just think of Ayu's fanbase, and then think of Koda's fanbase. Ayu has a way bigger fanbase, I don't think that Koda will be taking Ayu's place anytime soon, no matter if AVEX wants it or not.. ^^`

its not that I'm forcing myself to like Kumi I mean I want to like her I'll take what evr anyone has to say into account to help me even right now I'm listening to her "4 Hot Wave" single I really like Ningyo-hime

if you don't like her, then you don't like her. But just keep an open mind about her. I didn't really used to like Utada Hikaru, but now, I love her.

I, like you, dun really wanna see ayu being less popular than other artists (esp. from avex). Yet I accept it now cuz I know no one will ever staying at the top forever. In addition, probly i've known the existence of kuu since real emotion, so i kinda watched thru her struggling stage. This makes me accept her getting what she deserves now.

It takes time to accept the fact tho. Just like now I can't really believe that ULTRA BLUE sales are not that high, but I'm sure I will be comfortable with it later on :D.

Just one thing tho, don't force yourself liking kuu, you may end up hating her more. Be natural, and just like her when you do. :P

If you don't like something, don't force yourself. You can listen to her music, and you will naturally decide whether you like her or not.

One shouldn't judge based on popularity, or threatening other's popularity.

I'd say listen to her Best albums. They are fabulous.

And I think it's important to realize that there is room in this world for many people to experience great success. Ayu is very successful, and Kuu is very successful. Why can't we support both of them? I just don't understand why people get so angry about these things sometimes. One person's success is not an insult to someone else's....

There's no real way to change it unless you change what you like. No one here can really influence you to go from 'hate' to 'like'. Only you can do that.

Everybody's opinion are different. You don't have to like her through other's opinion. Like her songs by yourselves, don't force yourself to like an artist that you don't like.

It's like i like 1/2 of Koda. Sometimes she's cute and sweet, and other times its like she's a wh**e ._. i don't want to offend anyone by saying that, but that's the impression i get from a lot of things she's done. Well, anyways, i also only like some of her music. I'm much more for her songs like Love Goes Like, DDD, Candy, No Tricks, etc... You don't have to like her all around... maybe just a little.

It seems you're more concerned with how popular an artist is than the actual music they produce.

Don't bother analyzing weather you like her or not. If you like the music, that’s all that should matter. :cool

Like almost everybody here has said, there's really no need to be frustrated about not being able to like her fully. What's more important in music is that you enjoy what you listen to, not just liking the person behind the music. I don't think you can force yourself to like someone.

If you really enjoy listening to Kuu's songs, then why hesitate and not listen to them? It doesn't have to involve who's being on top of the other.
