Shiina Ringo question

I'm just new to this artist and I thought of asking some things about her.

+After Ringo no Uta, is she still singing solo or fully joined in Tokyo Jihen?

+Does Ringo no Uta PV costumes was modeled after her past singles? Coz I see Honnou outfit & Stem outfit in that, and I was wondering if there's other.
Pictures from her PV/Cover could be helpful for my references.

Thanks in advance :D

PSYCHEDELICOdust 19th July 2006 06:02 AM

Yes, she is in Tokyo Jihen full time now, they've got a new concert DVD coming out soon~

and Yes again, the costumes are all based from past singles although off the top of my head I can't think of all of them. I think it might be all of them considering she's only got like 8.

HELVENEUE 19th July 2006 06:52 AM

yeah, Ringo No Uta was her ending single. It doesnt have her outfits from all of her PV's though, just her famous ones (coughthesinglescough).

It's really a shame cuz I don't really like Tokyo Jihen's sound, yet I loved most of Ringo's solo work.

They're modelled off her costumes from her PVs. Although not every PV's costume was featured in 'Ringo no uta', eg. 'IDENTITY', 'Yamini furu ame', 'Meisai' etc.

The one with the sailor outfit with the wings is from 'Koufukuron', which I don't have capped.

From left to right according to the above image:
Kabukichou no Joou, Mayonaka wa junketsu, GIBISU, Koko de Kiss Shite, Ringo no uta, Honnou, yattsuke shigoto (live version, from Zecchoshu), kuki~STEM~Daimyou asobi hen, Tsumi to Batsu

Don't think I've left any out, do ask if I have. Just search the PVs on youtube if you want to see the original.

A rock version of Stem?

Yattsuke Shigoto has a rock version, actually Yattsuke Shigoto was original rock and performed live on ZCS but was redone on KSK.

Onaji Yoru and Sid to Hakuchuumu were redone into more acustic versions. Sid to Hakuchuumu in paticular was more broadway like.

The demo version of Sigma was more lounge like but was later changed to a (in my opinion) better fitting rock beat.

Ringo no Uta was also redone into a more rock based song. I believe it was more of a transition. Ringo was keeping "Ringo" but the personality of Ringo had changed and moved on.

About the rock version of 'stem', it's on 'Karuki, Zamen, Kuri no hana'. It's the same as the one on the CASSHERN album, only in Japanese.

Keishi 21st July 2006 11:53 AM

I heard it's available in the Vinyl of KSK?

hallelujah_united 21st July 2006 02:10 PM

The Rock version of STEM (Kalk) was released on all versions of KSK (I think). And it isn't really THAT rock either, just the last verse.

If you didn't know already, Ringo likes to do multiple versions of the same tracks and release them on different discs. :yes

^Geez that could sprout out a lot of confusion. Rofl.

Last question, How many version of Ringo no Uta video? I heard there is three but I only have two. And is there any particular naming for each version?

PSYCHEDELICOdust 23rd July 2006 06:45 AM

There's an NHK Kids Version that's kinda creepy. I've got it at home, but I'm at my Grandma's <_<;

~K+ 23rd July 2006 07:33 AM

I never knew there was a NHK version, thanks for letting me know Aaron. Luckily it's on youtube, it's wacky!

Keishi 23rd July 2006 07:35 AM

Rofl. Can I ask for the link? How creepy was it?

Keishi 23rd July 2006 08:29 AM

ROFL
that was the funniest video I've ever seen :P
Too bad they didn't draw her mole on the apple gal.

hallelujah_united 23rd July 2006 04:18 PM

The song is definitely not something you'd want your kids to learn from though...But the PV was cute to say the least!

Keishi 24th July 2006 01:12 PM

The song is about someone's amnesia, wasn't it? Or not? Hahaha.

Wait, was Tsumigi Asobi & Yattsuke Shigoto included in any single before its release on the album? If it isn't why does it exists in Ringo no Uta PV? Just wondering...

Hazuki 24th July 2006 06:47 PM

Yeah, the song was Shiina forgetting her name :P

That apple is scary T___T
