RIAA sales certification

I was wondering how many copies does an album need to sell to reach : Gold, Platinum, & Diamond in the USA?

Is this right?

Gold: 500,000
Platinum: 1,000,000
Diamond: 10,000,000

I also found these figures for Japan as well:
Gold: 100,000
Platinum: 250,000
Diamond: 1,000,000

I just need someone to confirm these figures. Thanks :)

^Well it's certified 'million' by RIAJ because they count shipped copies and not sold.

EDIT: 1 million in Japan isn't called 'Diamond'. It's just called 'Million'.
