Wow! I think someone went to the 8/26 concert and reported it <3 <3
It's from Crapplejunktown @ mm-bbs.org ~

Oh my god, next was hitomi! The one I was waiting for this whole time! Before she came out, they showed a trailer of her new movie coming out early next yeat, "Nightmare Detective". It looks pretty cool! Anyway, I'll talk about her performance. She was the first act of the evening that got EVERYONE to their feet. She performed a medley first, which was pretty long and expertly performed. It started with "SAMURAI DRIVE", the good original one, not the crappy 2005 version. I went nuts over that. Next was "MARIA", my 2nd favorite song she does live, so at that point I was ****ing crazy. She continued with "there is...", "by myself", "BUSY NOW" (the cool latin one on "SELF PORTRAIT"), and "Candy Girl". Man, that was magical, I never wanted it to end. Next, she did some MCing and moved on to perform a medley of her new single coming next month, "Ai no Kotoba" and "Japanese girl". "Ai no Kotoba" is potentially a really catchy song. It has this "na naa nana" section that is stuck on me. "Japanese girl" was a crowd pleaser too. Finally, her last number was her last single "GO MY WAY". This song is excellent done live! I hope this is the song that makes it onto the live DVD when it comes out. I wanted more, but after that she left the stage! :(
Next, after a breif interlude was cutie Ai Otsuka. Now, let me tell you about her. She has INCREDIBLE charm and can really work a crowd. She was tied for 2nd best crowd pleaser of the night, tied with TRF and behind Ayumi Hamasaki. She opened with fireworks and "Frienjer", a song I didn't initially like when I heard it on the CD version, but this live version was so awesome! Especially the "FIGHT!" parts and the end "DAN!". ****, I got my energy so high! Next she did "Yumekui", an excellent song, bringing the energy down a bit. Following was "Planetarium", done solo by Ai on piano. At the part with the firework sound, really fireworks came out and the whole band started accompanying her. It was a good performance or a song I wasn't crazy about in the first place. Well, I like it, just everyone seems to like it way better for some reason I don't know. She pulled out the adorable "SMILY" next. Itwas really cute and she had everyone sawing to the chorus. Her last song was "Sakuranbo", a huge crowd pleaser again. It has lyrics for everyone to sing along with. When she sings the words "sakuranbo", you are supposed to make that "a-okay" sign with your hands. It was a lot of fun.
Next was mink, an artist I didn't know much about beforehand. She has a beautiful voice, but unfortunately, like everyone decided to take a pee break during her set. She sang a cover of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and an original song I didn't know. I think I'll look into her music once I get home.
Next was TM Revolution, an arist I know, but don't particularly LIKE. He had an impossibly long 4 song set, maybe five, I wasn't paying attention. The only song I knew the title of was "Vestige", a song I have in iTunes. To be fair, it's a good song, with a powerful chorus, and I'll probably listen to it more now. He is a good live performer, but what's up with that outfit? Is a red matador top, black short-shorts (more like black panties) and thigh high boots really appropriate? Anyway, he closed with a song I think is a Gundam SEED theme song, and everyone around me seemed to like it.
Next we have the **** of Jpop, Miss Koda Kumi. To be fair again, she seemed a bit toned down here. She opened with "JUICY", and "Butterfly", but those were the only ****ty songs she did, and even they were short medley versions. Oh yeah, she was wearing a green two piece bathing suit thing. Hot. Um, yeah, after, she pulled out a suprise number no one expected, "You", her first of the 12 singles. She started it accapella, and it was okay, but she doesn't seem to understand her limits as a singer yet... it was a nice performance, but the green outfit was somehow inappropriate for the song. After, she sang "I'll be there" and "With Your smile" (which is insanely catchy, I'm glad I downloaded it!). She did a costume change after into jeans and a black bikini, and sang "Ningyou hime". This was her best performance I think, and that costume was really sexy. She ended with "WIND", a happy song and a catchy one! I was suprised the crowd did get going as much with her performances, isn't she really popular right now? Oh yeah, I'm fairly certain that "Koi no Tsubomi" was thrown in somewhere...
The next group, TRF, got a really GOOD reception from the crowd. And they deserve every bit of it. For their age, they are ****ing awesome. No, scratch that. THEY ARE ****ING AWESOME. Period. Their songs may be dated, but damn it if they don't still work. Anyway, they opened up with their new single "Silence Whispers", a defintely cool song, with pole dancing no less! Next was "Boy meets girl", and everyone went wild over it. After they did a medley of "EZ-do dance" and "CRAZY GONNA CRAZY". Next was "Where to Begin", which as I expected had huge energy performed live here. They ended with "Survival Dance". Now this was basically THE song of the evening. It had everyone going with the music. Basically it goes like this "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH-YEAH, WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOA, SURVIVAL DANCE!!!" And everyone jumps. It was awesome, do not underestimate TRF. They rock.
The last act of the evening was none other than Avex's queen, Ayumi Hamasaki. She is a top notch performer by the way, there was not a person who was not on their feet. She opened with "Startin'", a great song to get the show going. She was wearing a sexy corset thing, black and white. She went on to perform 2 ballads, "A song for XX" and "SEASONS", which everyone was surprised to hear. I'm just glad she didn't do "HANABI" again this year, I really hate that song. After a costume change, she started singing "evolution" and went on this cart going around the edge of the field. This is where our seat positions really kicked in. I were probably about 10 feet away from Ayu when she came around near our seats. And here is the best part... she looked at me and smiled! I was the only one around me standing on my chair, and the only foreigner, so I guess that's why. Anyway, don't let anyone fool you with "ratface" remarks, she is incredibly beautiful in person, more so than in photos, on TV, etc. And I got to check out her body! It's hot! Anyway, so she looks at me, and I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped. It was like an electric shock, I didn't know how to react. It was so cool. She sang crowd favorite "Boys and Girls" after, and closed with "BLUE BIRD", a song I'm not too fond of (especially it being a "fairyland" clone, a song I really don't like).
So Ayu finishes up, and fireworks start. They were really nice actually, not half-assed or anything.
The ride home was crazy. It was crazy getting there, but that wasn't everyone at once. Leaving, we had the full 60,000 people going home at once... FUN!

Seems Ayu was uber hot <3 And Ayu was like, the only one who had a long setlist that wasn't a medley o_o
