----------------------------------------
I stopped somehow
I felt like I heard your voice
Though I knew you couldn't be there
I continued to search for you

The season I was with you was the most dazzling one
Everything we saw was full of brilliance
Since when did we come to want too much?
Though it should be just enough that we were close

I felt like I found a profile like yours
Far across the road
But I didn't stop any more
I looked forward and kept walking

The season I was with you was the shortest one
I felt everything we saw was sweet
What did we leave and what did we lose?
And I wonder how long it takes from now until I can accept it

The season I was with you was the most dazzling one
Everything we saw was full of brilliance
I'm still here alone and thinking over whether it was good
Like one who can hardly resign oneself

I loved how this song starts out, and knowing it translates to I stopped somehow somehow makes it better, I just love it.

Thank you masa.

Like a man who can hardly resign himself -> why a man and not a woman?
anyway thanks

Thank you so much for this translation.. It was is my favourite song on the album, and now that I know what it means, I'm even happier. The song is beautiful in everyway, and I love the lyrics too, to me it's about trying to move on from somebody you once loved..

caio.taiko 27th November 2006 01:42 PM

Thanks for the lyrics!!!

"Hitomi ni utsuru mono subete ga kagayaki ni michite ita"
"Hitomi ni utsuru mono subete ga itooshiku kanjite ita"
She actually sings "Me ni utsuru..." instead of hitomi

"Side Face" doesn't really make sense in English. Do you mean "profile?"

masa 27th November 2006 05:06 PM

Really? I thought that "side face" was colloquial. I correct it to "profile".

You are welcome.

Calico 27th November 2006 06:32 PM

Thank you! This song really is lovely in every way.

K!tsu 27th November 2006 07:36 PM

Sankyuu for the lyrics, but... the song says "Me ni utsuru mono subete ga kagayaki ni michite ita", not "Hitomi ni utsuru mono subete ga kagayaki ni michite ita".
I believe...

Baibai ^o^

I think it's a term, but it's not very often used. It sounds very technical in English...like something a doctor or model agent would use.

The term profile??? I hear that used very often. Maybe something more colloquial would be "the side of your face" but it's all the same. Personally, I like the word "profile".

Thanks masa!

No, it was in reference to "side face" which is what Masa originally put instead of profile.
