[Discuss]Hamasaki Ayumi - Talk Asia @ CNN

Ayu said lots of interesting things
eg: Asia Tour, She need a REST etc.

I just noticed that Ayu said something about rest and vacation.
She mentioned she would like a rest someday, not just vacation.
well, personally , i believe that means she wanna get retired.
anyway, that's just my opinion :)

Well, later on, she says she wants to sing 20 years down the road still (that would be in her late 40s .. i wonder)

anyway, it was a brilliant interview. Her Eng was very gd imo ("Workaholic" whoa)...towards the end she didnt really noe what to say but continued using Eng...*applaudes*

im just fascinated bout the Asia Tour part...haha

the rest was really AYu's wisdom which was meaningful...the sales part was wow..remain true and sincere that kinda thing....but haiz, aint showing yet...

gd job Ayu! yep, she is ready to speak eng in asia..haha

Wtf? She said she didn't want to rest o_O She loves doing her job, and wouldn't want to go on a vacation... O_O Right?

I hope she has an amazing asia tour... Hopefully Australia is in Asia

IYFreak 9th December 2006 04:31 AM

simonlau 9th December 2006 04:34 AM

I know Australia's not in Asia, but it would be sooo cool if it was... then ayu could come and sing for us in Australia!

Oh I see... must of misinterpreted then

oro77 9th December 2006 08:38 AM

Very good english :)
Maybe she can also speak Chinese so it won't be a problem for Asia tour lol
She would be so perfect :)
It will be very hard for Ayu, she intends to do the Asia tour and end with Japan right ? I think it may be too much for her.For AT06, she has done so many concerts in Japan, if AT07 is the same with other Asia countries, It will be very hard.

I really wonder if she is sincere when she said she doesn't want to think about future too much, maybe she doesn't want to scare fans so she didn't really answer.

I think she's just keeping it a secret... so we can be surprised one day.

That's reading quite a lot into it. All she said was that she doesn't need a break right now. Maybe in the future she will want to rest but for now she is fine.

I think that it is more that her day to day life is so busy, that she doesn't have the time to dwell on the future.

After watching the cnn interview, I felt that Ayu really didn't answer the questions. She was pretty vague in her answers.
I am amazed by her English. Pretty good.
I also feel sorry when she constantly stresses that she has to be "Ayumi Hamasaki" the icon rather than be her "true" self. I understand that she needs to take precautions while being under the spotlight, but to view oneself as a product. She needs to give herself a break. Who knows.. maybe she's worried that once she takes a slight break, she will lose her position in the spotlight like Amuro Namie.

Choyan 9th December 2006 09:58 AM

Well...Aussie + NZ is in Asia Pacific...isn't it?? XD just it's more.... well known as Pacific/Tasmania?? XD meh the spelling

anyway
She sounds a bit like the Korean girls at my school where their parents left them here to study and theyr'e in Korea.... XD better than quite a lot of them actually. (not trying to o f f e n d here. D:)
Quite suprised XD.
It's an interesting interview I think.

BraiNz 9th December 2006 10:03 AM

I love her more & more. Everyday. :luv2

i thought the same things...it seemed like on a lot of questions she kind of just skipped around the topic and never answered it.

i'm amazed with her english though. and it looks like we'll no longer be able to debate about whether she can or can't speak it. :yes

as for australia, no its not in asia. australia is a continent, asia is a continent. although, i know you fans in australia would love to see ayumi live!

alternarist 9th December 2006 11:00 AM

honestly, i feel that some of her answers were crap.. :P oh well. but i still love ayu as much as always :D:D and i am extremely excited when i hear that ayu will have an asia tour from march to end of june!!!! :D:D

Yes but she is also saying that she is herself, that's why people love her.

I think when she talks Japanese, she doesn't say so much "watashi" for "I", she often says "Ayu", I think it is quite strange but it comes from here. She has to be Ayu.

I think she was a bit disturbed by the questions, maybe she was expecting something else(not the same kind of questions in Japan). So she was very vague.

I think too but I think it was because of the englisg, she doesn't master it yet and also because if the dub.
In the dubbing, she said like : I will continue to sing as long as people buy my single/album.
I really wonder if she really used the word "buy" for this sentence, it sounds like she only wants to money lol

oro77 9th December 2006 11:31 AM

I have a stupid question, Ayu said she loves her mum but I thought they were in bad terms and she has been raised by her grandmother.

Am I completely wrong?

DerrickRocks 9th December 2006 11:32 AM

they probally messed the dubbing up. Ayumi Hamasaki can speak english she spends alot of time in the united states remember lol you guys are Ayu fans right?
of course you are lol but she trained over here in the US for her debut vocal lessons and all and even recorded alot of songs in New york and LA. Ayumi is constantly over here she's really bright!! she knows she cannot take a break not at all right now i mean look at Kumi she is blowing up all over the place an d has an enormous fan base here compared to Ayumi. Everyone discovered Ku in final fantasy X2 and Utada in Kingdom Hearts. Ayumi needs a blockbuster video game to get the recongition that those two have!! i mean Ayu is the queen of jpop!!! she knows what answers to say and what to avoid

We know that but her english was not that good, she had a very japanese pronounciation.

I think she improved a lot recently.
