[YT]Ai otsuka Copycat as well?
Lol so.. my friend "keni Klan" sent me this cool youtube link! and it.s a clip that makes us all wonder.... is Ai otsuka a copycat just like ayumi?
so let.s take a look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6NoX5HANEY still ai otsuka rules! hahaha note: this thread is meant to be funny I.m not serious about it but I thought it was a cool link to share! :D |
I've heard most of these before. Some of the comparisons are justified, but some weren't really that similar at all. For example, i realllly don't think she ripped off Joe Hisaishi :laugh
|
yeah I fell the same! specially towards the endof the clip! lol
which song is that? |
Wow, that's scary. I think it's a coincidence mostly though. Ai wrote a lot of her songs when she was still a teenager--some of the comparisons weren't even out then yet XD Plus, there are certain melodies in music that are commonly done...
|
wow ... i am speechless O_O
|
There are some that sound really similar (FRIEND & SMILY) but there were also a couple that were just really far-fetched. Whoever did that has one very sharp ear though. :thumbsup
|
some of them are weird.. but the Smily & Friend one is legit..
Apparently it hit the newspapers, and they even had bars of instrumentation comparing the two... I have a site where it compares all of Ai's supposed plagiarised tracks... so yeah.. when i find it again, I'll post |
^I think I know the site you're talking the site. Is it the site where you can listen to Ai's songs and their "base" songs, and then you can play both of them altogether and see how matching one with each other? :P
|
This is old news, it's been up on that page for a long time, and yes, if it was in the west probably friend could've been the base of a law suit IMO. Especially if there were two major atists.
|
Well I personally think Ai copied Ayu's Independence Melody^^".
But I don't bother.. I still love Ai^^ |
I think the only one I find very close is friend and smily....about ayus independent, I dont think ai copied her coz when I first heard independent, I remember hearing the melody somewhere before...Im not saying ayu copied ai ofcourse.
|
ayu couldn't have copied Ai with "independent", because the song is from 2002. The only similarity I see between "independent" and "SMILY" is the clapping.
That video was interesting. I think - like most others - that the first comparison is the most, ern, similar. But it could still be a coincidence. So many musicians out there, so we'll eventually find similarities. LOL at the "Suteki da ne" + "PLANETARIUM" comparison. THAT was truely hilarous. xD That's like saying "Voyage" and "everywhere nowhere" are similar, because their choruses both start with "bokutachi wa". xDD |
AYU didnt copy her producers did you heard independent over here in the US that songs composition is played at baseball games and football games i forgot what it is called but ayu sampled it!! not copied the entire song
|
Hahaha, you can do that to any song. But I do admit that some of those songs seemed really similiar, some of them felt like Ai sped up the beat and then add stuff to it. I dont think it matters, the music is still good.
|
lol...I didnt say ayu copied....and ofcourse I know she released independent before ai did with smily. Alot of songs have similar melodies. I dont care if whatever song sounds similar to whatever song...as long as it sounds good. :D

You must be a psychic. You just read my mind. :laugh Ya, I've been to both sites and those sites are the ones I was referring to. Well, it's not like we're against Ai or something. I was of course quite disappointed when the same thing happened to Kuu's Yume no Uta, but I'm keeping my faith on one theory, that avex as a company is powerful enough to buy singers/composers copyrights for their own singer. |
I have to agree that the SMILY/Friend one is quite right.
|
Some are close, but they are no copies...I don't think they will dig into Arabic and Spanish unknown stuff to make a hit. lol
There is so many music on the world, that you will always be able to find similarities of a song in another. |
