Welcome to the Elva Hsiao Thread! Elva Hsiao A.K.A. Xiao Ya Xuan is a taiwanese singer. She debuted back in 1999 and continues to be one of the biggest artist in the chinese music industry. Elva's music is a mix of pop, R&B, and Hip Hop. I hope you like her ^o^

I really like Biao Bai! I downloaded the album not too long ago :D!

Biao Bai was the song that got me into Elva's music ^^ My other favorite tracks from the 1087 album are bu yuan, free, and dai yan ren :D

Yay! Elva thread, i've only heard her latest album but I love it. Especially free and the first track that I don't know the name too, since it's in Chinese characters.

Her look reminds me of Cyndi Wang.

Cyndi Wang? whoa, i think that both are VERY different. Cyndi is like.. kawaii, a sorta of chinese Ai Otsuka along with Rainie Yang... Elva has more the "cool" appeal. X3

Anyway.. i love elva, i have her last album and her best, but i never listened to the best XD
My fave track are LoVe and Honey Honey Honey :)

cool! I love lovelva. My favorite songs on the Dance CD are Ai De Zhu Da Ge and Xing fu de di tu I also like Ai Shang Ai ^^

I really like Elva. I've only heard stuff from her last album though. I'm scared to listen to her other stuff because I'm not sure I'll like it as much.

I'm very new to elva, actually I've been listening to her for less than a month so I had to randomly sample her music ^o^ I've only listened to 1087 which i love and her BEST album. From what I've heard so far she has a lot of techno dance music, and some pop and a little R&B too :D

and my sister loves her
i like mainly 1087, and her more dance-like/electronic music, such as Wei Lai and And I Know
it's too bad that her injured leg really hurt her promotion and her presence in the music industry for 2007 :(

^ WhaaT!? really? that's cool ^o^ I really like her electronic music but I never heard of Wei lai~ I'm sad too the she hurt her leg,but she is in California now recovering. I bet she can't wait to show off her new dance moves , I know I can't wait to see them =)

hehe i actually share the same surname as her.. she used to be quite popular last time but due do some bad luck her album release was frozen.. during this time some new artistes overtook her popularity namely jolin, angela zhang, sun yan zi ,etc,etc..

but i still like her coz her voice rocks...

yeah it was quite a long time ago when she homestayed at my sister's friend's
but i've seen her once or twice, just didn't really care because she wasn't famous back then
only until after her vancouver contest, her star started rising
yeah she does have a really good voice, compared to other mandarin female artists
and she's one of the few mainstream chinese artists that can blend dance/house/techno with R&B and pop to make it sound awesome
especially Wei Lai, it's amazing

^i don't personally know her haha, but i've seen her in person when she was still in vancouver
i think she acted in 2 movies, one of them being internal affairs

^I didn't know she was in that movie. Now I really want to see it.

I first discovered her back when she was still "dormant" during that 1087-day period. Now that she's back with this new album, I can't wait to watch more MVs (assuming that some are still in the making).
