About Ayu Wax Figure
Yo.
I went to yahoo and checked out more pics on Ayu wax figure, the one in Hong Kong. Man, I missed going to the wax mueseum in Hong Kong, didnt knw they had one, haha. But anyways, most of us find the wax figure doesnt resemble Ayu. At 1st I kinda agree, especially the front view of her face. But the side view after seeing it for a while, it does resemble. I mean the 3/4 view and side view. I suppose wax figures are very expensive? I'm surprised they let visitors have physical contact with it and someone may accidentally damage it. But itz amazing how they could sculpt it so realistically. Wonder if they built it from a mould or something, like mannequins. For those who actually touched it, does the skin texture feel real? Or is it hard like plastic? Haha, just curious, if u guys have the $, would u have an ayu wax figure in your house? When I'm small, I always have this fear about mannequins suddenly becoming alive and evil lol. Well, now still feel uneasy when I'm alone near them though I knw they aint real. Perhaps watched too much Chucky films haha. |
I always thought it looked like her from the pictures I've seen. I mean, looked like her /enough/. Sadly, I've never seen it in real life. I wouldn't mind that...
But no, I wouldn't have an Ayu wax figure in my house. I'd have a wax figure of someone/something else, maybe, but not Ayu. |
yeah, after reading your story^,
i think you watched too much chucky films, lol about the ayu wax figure, i think it feels like a real wax, you know the softness, etc, and i bet it could melt too... imo lol |
I suppose the hair of the wax figure is changeable? I hope they do update the hairstyle. The hair can make a lot of difference to the resembleness of Ayu. I feel with long hair, it may look closer to real Ayu. Like the hairstyle in my avatar works well too.
They shld dress up the figure like "Secret" Ayu instead of some normal clothes. I mean trademark clothes that Ayu wore for a CD-cover or from concert. Is that dress from her concert performance? I understand that a good scuplting is important but clothing resemblance is just as important though. If u were the designer, what clothes would u have the Ayu wax figure wear? (pls dun say wear nothing lol) For me, I would pick the "Secret" dress or "A Song For XX" white hood-sweater. |
how about a wax figure of ayu in Bold & Delicious in AT 2006?? :P
personally, i wun want a wax figure in my house. for what?? house of wax? thats scary. its hard to maintain too.. |

No, that would scare people. Maybe that... dress-thing(ugh) from the MY STORY cover. |
I saw a video once on TV, they were making wax sculptures of two Twins members (hk pop stars) and they use photos and guestimated it. No casting of the face was shown. I don't know if the photos were used as reference to an original casting, but... if it was real casting of Ayu's face, I'd think it look much more like her! I think the eyes are super close together, the face really long, rectangular. BLECH!
It's only Ayu's sculpture that sucks. All others are gorgeous and life-like. Perhaps, Ayu's face is way too INTENSE for the sculptors to handle. Perhaps... |
i'm happy that she has one...but unfortunately that wax figure not looks like ayu at all...

as for what she can wear...maybe what she wear what she wore on the loveappears cover? lol ahahahaha...just joking...mmm...she can wear her evolution gear with the fox tail and cameo look...its old but its indeed a signature/trendsetting thing she brought upon people? |
I think it's really Ayu's own fault for having such a ugly wax figure. She didnt want to go for the measurements (if the reports were correct).
Also, people probably touched it even though there's 90% a NO TOUCHING sign. Humans are like that. I will touch it too if I'm there hah! |
^ agreed.

her hair....oh god....her eyes...eww her dress....disaster |
I personally don't like that much the wax figure, but I kind of regret not having entered the museum, was wondering first if that museum was the one where the figure was
|
I swear that's not Ayumi! It's a blood man *****!
|
can i just say something....
i went to madame trussaud in 2004 (i think, been to hk every year) at top of the peak, and in that year that WASN'T the waxwork they had of ayu...the one back then was more realistic ...but for some reason, alot of the moulds in hong kong are nowhere near as good as the ones i saw in las vegas' madame trussauds |
nooo this waxfigure isn't good :(
|
Her wax figure kinda scares me.
