ayu uses the word "watashi" now more often than "ayu"

lol @ the title XD
sorry, i didn't know how to phrase it differently.

i noticed ayu doesn't say "ayu" anymore, if she is referring to herself. (or, not very often anymore?)
she almost never used to say "watashi" or "atashi" when she was talking about herself. but now she does. i guess bc she is grown up now? XD
what do you think?

and have a nice day! the weather is beautiful!! <3

AyuHamasaki01 25th May 2007 05:24 PM

Uhuh I agree about the weather! haha!

Anywayz... I think you're right

criminal 25th May 2007 05:33 PM

Yeah, I agree with you. It's just like with the fox tail-thingies that she used to wear.

(miss)understood 25th May 2007 05:58 PM

sadly i liked it when ayu referred to herself as ayu

and when she wore foxtails :(

but her music is better than ever now

ohsixthirty 25th May 2007 07:18 PM

i never really noticed...

but maybe if she refers to herself less often as "ayu" it means she sees herself as less of a product and more of a person.

Keishi 25th May 2007 07:30 PM

^kinda reminds me of how Kumi refers herself as "Kuu-chan" and her as a product as "Kumi Koda".

slowmoth 25th May 2007 08:41 PM

:yes! I think it's because she has more control about her carrer now

viola_123 25th May 2007 08:57 PM

that's great, that she says "watashi" a lot more now!! i have a lot of friends
who use their names when reffering to themselves, and it's kind of annoying :dead2

extepan 26th May 2007 05:32 AM

yeah i noticed that too. i think i prefer the way it is now, because it is more natural to hear I instead of your own name

Chibi_Venus 26th May 2007 05:41 AM

I never liked it when she referred to herself by saying "ayu." I never quite understood it. I also thought that it sounds, I don't know, selfish?

naaaw, i think ayumi was almost always in control of her stuff...more than other artists for sure.

i thought saying your own name instead of "i" is childish. she definitely is too old for that XD

SKYia 26th May 2007 01:29 PM

She is cute when she talks about herself in third person :3

PrincessAyu 26th May 2007 03:13 PM

heh it's true o_o she doesn't say it so often anymore. It was always kinda funny. SKYia nice set btw~

Ballerina_xXX 28th May 2007 03:54 AM

she really always used to say that.

Hachimitsu 28th May 2007 08:04 PM

She used it a lot during the MCs of the encore sections of her concerts, and also during tv interviews and such.

Beffi 28th May 2007 11:15 PM

I noticed that she referred to herself as 'Ayu' , hadn't noticed 'watashi' though, have to look out for it :)
~Aww she's growing up *gets all teary eyed* haha.

BoBo 28th May 2007 11:26 PM

i agree :)

yamogi 29th May 2007 02:41 PM

I remember, back in old times some people actually think it's stupid for her to refer herself as 'ayu'. They think ayumi hamasaki is one of the most stupid person in the world.

well, it IS very childish. i don't even think it is cute. if some person would talk to me in that manner i'd also be very :shakehead but maybe it works in japan
