Koda Kumi in Dutch magazine (release in August)

*takes a very deep breath, because she almost needs to throw up!*
Hi there!

EDIT: I never should've posted this..., but I'm really excited about it, cause for me, it's the first time I see an artist I really like in a Dutch magazine...

Okay, I dunno if this is worth posting, but I'll post it anyway and I'll try to tell is slowly because I'm very excited...

Today I got Aniway, a Dutch magazine about manga, anime and J-Pop.

Because I needed to make homework (maths :dead2) I looked it through very quickly....

I came on the page where they tell you what's in it the next time (releases every 3 months)
I couldn't believe my eyes... there it was... with the title:

Koda Kumi

:thud :thud :thud :thud

So, in August when the next release of Aniway is, Kuu-chan will be in there!!! Can you believe it? (I can't) Kuu-chan! In a DUTCH magazine...

So I will defenitely make some pics (scanner is down, very long) when the next release comes (30 August)

I still can't believe it... sorry if this is the wrong section... I'm dead :dead2

OMG get me an ambulance .... hurry someone is hyperventilating ... here take that brown-bag and breath in and out while holding the bag in front of your face

Keishi 4th June 2007 07:02 PM

Oh really? It happens all the time over here. There are tons of magazines that covers japanese anime, manga, game, j-pop, and other japanese culture. Each volume features different artists. There was once when Ayu was featured, and there was also DAI too...., Utada, whoa, so many. So it's not really new thing for me.

But if it is for you, then good for you then. ;D

In the german speaking region [Swiss, Germany, Austria] it's not so common. Sure we got some reports about artists in some magazines, but most of the articels are about Visual Kei bands. Still don't know why they are so special here but better than nothing. gg

yes, yes... !!!
I can't believe it *sneaky laugh*
I'll hang the article on my wall, so that I can look at it, read it, look at it, read it, look at it...
*taking-over-the-world laugh*

:rolleyes
(stupid me)

This is really no big news at all. There's always an article about a Japanese artist or band in Aniway. They've written about Ayumi, Morning Musume, Bonnie Pink, and the list goes on. I don't see what's so exciting about this.

Don't expect to find a Kumi poster. Aniway only comes with an anime poster. Also, don't expect an interview with Kumi. Aniway very rarely interviews anyone, and if they do interview someone, it's someone anime related, not a Jpop artist.

I don't think this is the first time Kumi appeared in a European magazine either. There are plenty of anime and Jpop related magazines in Europe, I'm sure they've written about Kumi before.

I don't mean to make you feel disappointed or anything, but don't expect too much from this. This article will probably just be written by a fan, not a professional reporter. It won't be an interview, but a story about her career. You could find much more detailed information on Wikipedia.

Don't get to excited, Aniway magazine articles are most of the time flat, and by flat I mean random. They post a little about the artists history, what they reached so far and most of the time a out of date picture instead of an up to date picture >.<

So ... just don't get to excited, it's probably not worth it, and don't get me wrong, I love KODA <3 (One of my favorites) but I had Aniway magazine a while, but all read was wrong info or incomplete info :S I stopped being a member tho ^.^

And I think it is big news!

(duh)

To ppl who don't understand Dutch: I did not, I repeat, I did not call names!!! really! it's just to make my point about that I do find it excited...

Yes, I do read the magazine. It's pretty good, though nothing that I haven't read before (about jpop), but it's handy to all the important news in one magazine and sometimes they introduce me to new animes, jpop etc, that I haven't heard before :yes

Enne, welcome at AHS!
Join the club my Dutch friends! and while your busy: dip it in the sauce
hahahaha!

Try to cool down, okay? I was just trying to say this isn't big news. Of course you are allowed to be excited, but I'm also allowed to not be excited at all. Kumi has appeared in countless Asian, American and European magazines. This isn't such big news. That's all I'm saying.

You're right, you didn't call any names, but you're not being very friendly either. I never said you were stupid. And fans DO write articles for Aniway magazine. I have read Aniway for years, and several of my friends have written articles for the mag. They're not journalists, just fans.

It's not my fault if you're 'chagrijnig' as you say. I don't think I was out of line, so don't take it out on me.

I relax :rainbow
I'm zen :rainbow

(^^ reminds me of something... ~fanmail~)

anyway: ff in Dutch...

I suck at explaning, I know :yes :rolleyes

Did I say it was your fault??? ;D (winks at you), anyway, I'm doing a lot better now!
Sorry for reacting like that, I'm truly sorry, It's just there where some problems at home... So really, I'm sorry!

Dip it in the Sauce :D
