Nope, this is the first time they're having Japanese bands 8D

Updated with dates from remix_sakura @ LJ. No other news on the American bands (rumour has it Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine) or the supposed other Jrock bands.

for sure if the jrock bands will be there.

btw~ i checked the ToC site, and they only have info about the jrock
for this year in NYC at a convention... but nothing else ;---;

As far as any news goes, all the 3 bands will be at every date. I'm sure there's more to be announced still, though.

Dates removed until they're posted at the Taste of Chaos site because there are apparently some issues and whatnot.

Aw okay :( I'll wait for the new dates then.

I'm sure they had some truth to them and I wouldn't be surprised if the end list was quite similar, but what's being passed around are tentative dates :( I was so excited, too.

I think Candian dates are going to be announced later and I'm not sure if the Jrock bands are going to be apart of that.

Asbury Park? I would go, but scene kids make me want to throw up my insides.

Damn, I think I'll go to this just to see the Japanese acts--I actually have no interest in the American ones LOL.
