Favorite unknowns?
 

I'm sure that besides mainstream music there's always that one band/singer that is really good to you, but nobody's heard of them.

My favoite unknown musicians are Thomas' Apartment and Jason Harwell.

One hit wonder trying to make another hit --> Khia | Kaila Yu. <-- Has a few good songs

Lamya. I loved Learning From Falling but despite one video being shown on MTV, it seems she didn't make much of an impression and hasn't had a second album.

A Fine Frenzy. Its funny the album cover is different than the one I have. XD
EDIT: oh I got the collectors edition I guess. XD no clue.

these artists' music is something sweet, simple and fresh. They have both touched me with their different combinations and adaptions of music, as well as virtually creating a new genre.

I'm don't think he's a total unknown but he's not completely mainstream either....Patrick Wolf! And Akeboshi!! Both are great and more people should give them a listen if they like a bit of folk especially Akeboshi!

My library is like half and half, some popular artists and some unknowns. A couple of my favorites are Adam Joseph (a gay R&B/Soul singer), The Ones (an electro/pop band from NYC), and Ben Sage (a drum and bass DJ out of Toronto.)

well ... currently they are not really that unknown anymore here in austria but still ... a lil more experimental as the other mainstream stuff floating around here in austria

I LOVE Leigh Nash! She was the lead singer in Sixpence None the Richer, but now she has a solo career that I don't think many people know about >: Her music is very relaxing, and her voice is SO sweet <3
