Artist with "dreamy" music? Aka. Daybreak / ever free / etc.

Heyas,

I'm in love with Ayu's dreamy songs and I'm wondering -- are there any other artists that make a lot of this music? It's kind of hard to explain.. But it's a dreamy spacy sound in some songs by Ayu. It's kind of techno'ish without sounding techno.

These songs by Ayu are the most dreamy:

- The intro, bridge and outro of Daybreak HAL's mix.
- Entire ever free.
- Entire ever free HAL's mix.
- HANABI ~episode II~ HAL's mix.

(lot's of HALs)

Thanks! o.~

Maybe you could try listening to H/\L, the group? "Split up" is pretty good song by them.

Is it dreamy too? ^-^

globe's Always Together sounds pretty dreamy! (I understand what you mean so you should try it).

well, try this song "amulet" by them. Not sure if it has the dreamy feel you want. It's HAL and it has that typical H/\L sounds that usually rings as "spacial" or "dreamy" to me.

ooh, try OLIVIA! A lot of her dreamy ballads have some electronic influences ^__^ Some songs I'd recommend are If you only knew, tears & rainbows, Ballerina, Close your eyes, and Alone in our Castle~ I especially recommend If you only knew, it has a bit of a similar arrangement to HAL's mix of ever free. I'd be more than happy to upload them for you if you can't find them anywhere else ^_^

I think KOKIA has some "dreamy" tracks~

I'd say Akeboshi's Morning High. I'd say it's more of a 'strange dream', but dreamy none the less.

HAL - ONE LOVE

It's Acoustic but soooooo amazing and very dreamy ^^

I definately recommend some of Olivia's stuff such as Soulmate.

Mika Nakashima - Oborozukiyo~Inori
L'Arc~en~Ciel - The Silver Shining
Hikaru Utada's Sakura Drops or Passion
Hyde's Roentgen album

And if you want stuff that isn't japanese I'm really loving Nolwenn Leroy's Histoire Naturelles albums. It's more mid-tempo than ballad-y but I think it has a dreamy feel to it.

Also some of Akeboshi's stuff like Yellow Moon or Rusty Lance.

Camellia by Hitomi Shimatani? I don't know if I'm getting this right, but the song always relaxes me and puts me in a good mood - especcially when I watch the video. <3

akeboshi's deep end for sure is sort of 'dreamy' to me. also, asobi seksu, an american band with a japanese singer has an amazing song called "red sea" on their citrus cd. emily haines, a canadian singer, has a very 'dreamy' voice in her solo work, which might be worth looking into. i love her, she's my hero.

Rurutia is my favorite, no matter what style of music she's doing, her voice is so dreamy and soothing.

Hallelujah has a harder sound but her voice is still so ethereal.
