[ninki] Mirrorcle World #1

01. Ayumi Hamasaki - Mirrorcle World 84.80
02. ZARD - 翼を広げて/愛は暗闇の中で 82.10
03. nobodyknows+ - アンダーレイン 20.80

http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/ns/

these are popularity charts of Oricon. They are based on how many people out of a certain amount would buy a release. They are not sales-expectations

talkin' 2 myself was 127.9; and unfortunately that didn't sell that well (still no.1 tho)

KuroixShiroi_Namida 4th April 2008 09:41 AM

Nice. D: ZARD is still so high.

~ayu-cake~ 4th April 2008 09:43 AM

Eeeep, ZARD are pretty close ;__;

TITANIC 4th April 2008 09:43 AM

I second that... it's a bit lower than I expect...
BUT unless ZARD is selling like crazy, PLUS MW's not selling, otherwise ayu should be getting no. 1 again (an extra day is an extra day)..

ayumisrael 4th April 2008 10:17 AM

I don't think that it gets an extra day, CDs are originally being released on Tuesdays and the date is a Tuesday so I think it will be normally 6 days counted for the first week.

freedreamer 4th April 2008 10:24 AM

O..I FORGOT ITS A TUESDAY!...nah then its fine, it won't break her streak of #1 daily...but we'll have to see about weekly...
since ZARD releases on the 9th instead

No. More specifically, it is a poll of Oricon users as to what releases they are interested in. They don't ask whether they would buy it.

CDs are announced as to be released on a Wed, with most CD stores putting them on shelves on Tuesdays. In this case, many people assume then that the CDs would go on shelves on Monday then, which would mean an extra day. BUT, they could also just be saying that the release day is on that day for anniversary value.

ayumisrael 4th April 2008 10:25 AM

^ZARD's single aren't selling too well lately anyway, the top sales I think even break 100,000. Though they decided to release her double a-side this time so it hard to know but I still think ayu got most of the chance for that #1.

that's why I specifically used the word 'would'. They would buy it; it doesn't say anything about if they actually DO buy it, preordered it or whatever.

A: like hey would you buy Ayu's CD if it's out?
B: Sure I'd buy it.... (not: I'll buy it)

Deneb 4th April 2008 10:29 AM

I bet mirrorcle world will be on sell days before official release :P like tomorrow, Saturday. when people go shopping

Not trying to argue, but there's a slight difference. Your question is asking if they would possibly be buying the CD. Oricon asks if they are interested in the song/that there's an actual release like that. If I look at a list of releases, I see some familiar names and I'm interested in the song/that a release of that artist is coming out, I can say I am interested in hearing it/getting to know more about it. It does not indicate whether I am interested in buying it necessarily.

I see what you are trying to get at, but that's not what NINKI is specifically asking.

okay okay you win.. but still; if you ask someone if he's interested in a release and he says yes; he DOES say that he might buy it.. if he doesn't buy it but is interested, that means he'll listen to it (by maybe downloading).. and that's not legal of course

SeasonsCall 4th April 2008 10:37 AM

Also, this is only out of a group of, like, ~500 ORICON STYLE subscribers, I think.

Someone needs to dig up t2m's NINKI for comparison xD

tethevo 4th April 2008 10:37 AM

Let's just say we're both right to a certain degree. :)

I think..sales for this one won't be that amazing. I'm expecting t2m level sales.

ayumisrael 4th April 2008 10:43 AM

The NINKI for t2m was like 40 or 60 wasn't it?
