IPODS ARE A BURDEN FROM HELL.

My iPod just went suicidal on me. AGAIN. For the second time since February.

Anyone else had such problems with their iCrap?

:faint

micster 26th April 2008 10:29 PM

Never had major problems. You've had quite a few though making me think that your iPod is just overall dodgy.

... *Hugs my apple stuff.

pommy48 26th April 2008 10:30 PM

aww, sorry, my ipod have been working great for 1 year and 5 months ^^

elepop 26th April 2008 10:30 PM

Nope, I never had any problems with mine.

waynechriss 26th April 2008 10:38 PM

What kind of Ipod do you have? I have the Ipod Touch and nothing is ever wrong with it. I remember when my sister's Nano kept crashing every now and again.

It's a 160GB Classic, 5th Generation. I am so going to find out if I can get a new one. I spent the past few weeks making lossless rips for everything too. UGH!!!

Just tell Apple and they'll replace it [Email em or pop into an Apple Store] Also, If you made lossless rips then they'd be in iTunes. No?

fanmail 26th April 2008 10:57 PM

^ I'm the biggest idiot, and I deleted them when I did them. I own the albums, so I can just re-do them. It's just finding the time, as I have all my exams coming up now =/

But you can do that? I know they replaced earphones for free. Will I need to bring anything? Actually, I'm just gonna find an e-mail on their site and ask them there. Thanks for the help, again. :D

I agree I went through 5 ipods already. These things always have problems. Restore, Reset, Lost Music.

I HATE THEM lol

I have the 80GB Classic and I haven't had any major problems with it all. I wonder what's up with yours? Has it just been dying? I don't understand what's been happening to it.

fanmail 26th April 2008 11:03 PM

^ Seriously, I've had nothing but errors with it ever since I got it. I really just want a new one, or to sell it. :shrug

KaoriNeko 26th April 2008 11:06 PM

Get an 80GB. They're love. :D

Queen Bee 26th April 2008 11:07 PM

I haven't had any problems with mine. Like others have said, I suggest contacting Apple and let them know what has been going on.

tasking 26th April 2008 11:08 PM

I had TONS of problems with mine, fanny. At first I was using the Macs at school because I had a Pentium 1 at home with Windows 98 on it and obviously that's not compatible. It crashed so many times I lost count. I think it started having an effect on the battery because now it's stuck with the charged symbol all the time and won't turn off.

Instead of going through all the crap with Apple (plus my warranty was expired anyway), I just got an iPod shuffle. I never used the video really, so it was a no-brainer for me.

Awww...I have a 30 GB ipod! It's perfect for me though. I don't have THAT many songs on my ipod and 7,000 is just enough for me.

Fanny, your ipod is to make me wanna smash it for u! :laugh I hope Apple fixes ur ipod. I don't have a warrantly for mines...*prays that it does mess up on me*...I hp u have one.

fanmail 26th April 2008 11:22 PM

Hmm I can't find the support e-mail where is it omg :faint

HybridTheory 26th April 2008 11:26 PM

Look fanmail, just get a walkman! :D

Anyway, if yours is a 160gb Classic then it's still under it's year warrentee. Go down to Bluewater Apple store or something and tell them that it's faulty and it needs replacing. I would recommend calling them first now because you may have to "book" an appointment with one of their "geniuses". It doesn't cost you anything, but sometimes they won't see you without an appointment time. I argued until they saw me, but I wouldn't recommend doing that :P. You don't need any documents or anything because your iPods serial key will tell them whatever they need to know.

Shame, my 5g 30gb works like a charm as does my 3g 40gb...

Neo Daydream 27th April 2008 12:43 AM

well i had an ipod mini for almost 3 yrs and it worked pretty well...

then i got a 80GB ipod for Christmas not even a month later, it disappeared into thin air!

KuroixShiroi_Namida 27th April 2008 12:49 AM
