On yesasia, it says under the Memorial Address CD+DVD (Japan Version):

So, I have no way of ripping the CD onto my PC? But how did other people manage to? :no Im confused :rolleyes

What I did was burn it with a normal CD burner :)
After that, you can play it on the cmputer! :D

Don't worry. The copy-protection of MA is long out-dated (it's from 2002/2003). Every new player can rip it easily, mine (WMP 11) did so too. The same goes for all releases from 2002 to 2004. I guess YesAsia always mentions it to avoid complains by people who have an older computer that can't rip it.

EDIT: I forgot to say. It's also dependent on whether you have a DVD-Rom or only CD-Rom drive. DVD-Roms can read CCCDs properly. I'm not sure if CD-Rom drives can do so too, but I don't think they can (you will hear a kind of crack every few seconds, if I remember correctly).

btw the CCCD (Copy Control CD) was dropped by Avex in 2004, because it was too unpopular. :cool

I got the overseas edition. I was able to play the CD, rip the disc into iTunes, watch the DVD and rip that to another disc so I could watch it on my region coded DVD player on my TV. And my computer is from the time Memorial Address was released.

I prefer that Ayu's cds are CCCD. after all, i don't have a computer so it doesn't matter for me...LOL..but at least with CCCD, we can minimize the illegal downloading which is I believe that it wont end!!(I know I did!!!)!

lols yeaaa all CDs have that warning but wen it comes to attempting it...lols who even knew of the restriction?
