What is Ayu saying in this interview? Being a Commodity??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWD41...eature=related

I saw from the side of the panel and it says that, when A BEST was released by her company, Ayu realized she was used as a commodity and decided to fight against that.

Can someone translate exactly what she said here?
It feels very inspiring..

Well a commodity means:
1. an article of trade or commerce, esp. a product as distinguished from a service.
2. something of use, advantage, or value

So I'm guessing that Ayu realized that certain parts of her 'product' image were being taken out of her control and I can see how she would balk against that.

yeah the whole interview is really actually interesting to watch. so you might want to consider downloading it and watching all of it.

okay i found the part in my video and im just typing the subs from the screen as she talks. credit for subs: Delirium-Zero

Ayu: At the time, you know...
I was...
I was called "Hamasaki Ayumi" but...
I considered myself just a human being.

-Interviewer: Thought of yourself as a human?

I am myself, I'm called "Ayumi Hamasaki," but i'm just a person, a human, a girl first, as far as i'm concerned.
But still, that's not quite right, because i'm part of the company, too. i'm part of a larger organization called "avex," and...
In avex, i'm considered an "important product" and i knew that.
For me to deny that, that wouldn't work.

-Interviewer: Still, you have an influence. You're significant.

And i thought afterwards that i'd just stop.

Then it jumps to another clip of the interview later in the video.

Ayu: I knew that if i didn't stay with the company i'd never be able to come back to it.
I lived very thoroughly here, but thought, "I just want to live like a human."
I was significant to them, so i felt like "let's fight the man" i guess.
I wanted to resist the company even though i felt like i was part of it.

Thats all the subs from the youtube clip :)
