Dudes! You guys gonna go for Avril's concert at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?

The Price is RM188 for rock zone. I didn't bothered to check other seats price cos they sux.

Ticket sales start at 21st July 2008

That I'm surprised considering the ever long & strict list of ethics that international acts has to accomodate whenever they have a chance to perform in Malaysia

tickets are already on sale since last Sat

Since I'm living in Kuala Lumpur, If you REALLY wanna come to KL I can be your guide, and we can make it as an AHS outing event (sorry Ayu!)

I can post up maps, hotel infos, good food, even nice sight seeing sites..... you name it.

So guys, register you name in this thread. I'm going, and I'm gonna on the front seat, because I have bought a side seat last time when Linkin Park came and it was a major disappointment. I can barely see the band cos it's too far, and there's no binoculars.

i knew about this, but i'm lazy to go to KL :innocent

I wonder if her tour will fail as badly as it did in the US

Yeah, I can't personally see why an artist would stop in Malaysia and not Singapore. That makes very little sense to me. =S Not that I wanna go or anything, I just thought it was an interesting observation.

maybe it's due to logistics & the works ? :shrug

cos she probably wasn't able to find a proper venue to perform in here just in time for her latest tour

even so it's fishy because she was in S'pore a few years ago to perform as part of her Bonez Tour though

Dude, I am like, wow, hoping you guys don't hate Malaysia for that....

The reason she chose Malaysia is MAYBE due to:

1) No possible time slot/organizing company in SG
2) She hasn't been to Malaysia (c'mon give us a chance will ya? Plus it's wayyy cheaper here!)
3) Malaysia has stronger fan base

I really, really not sure if I'm going.... I will not settle for anything not frontal tickets.... because the stadium is huge and you can't see a thing if you are even at the middle.

Why would I wanted to pay RM100+ to settle at the back just to see a small figure singing? I wanted to see how she looks like in real person...

I've had bad experience when I watched Linkin Park years ago at EXACTLY the same venue.... so mark my words, folks. Don't buy anything less than RM338. Unless you have a binocular. But nonetheless the concert's cool, great, but not PERFECT. Chester's so small.....

Well as for her performance in US there, it's actually quite a failure as i heard from my friends...Im not too sure what and why thou...

As for the sitting, ive never been to a concert at the Stadium Merdeka...LOL...

I think the album did pretty well too, but she only really had one hit single from the album; I think people just lost interest after that.

I dont know why, maybe people just got sick of her image and music, although she sold very well for her CD's.

They had to basically give away tickets, like some sold low as $20, and she also canceled the last few dates because she was 'sick'. Or in other words, not bothering because no money will be generated.

I think her lives in Japan would be great for her, she is like one of the most popular western acts in japan, Her album outsold many of Japan's top artists and was in the like top 10 year, each of her albums have either sold over a million or just under in Japan.
