Anybody like 'Kerli' ?? Official Thread

She is a estonian artist. Just released her album last month here in Americas titled "Love is Dead"! It's a unique album along the lines of Bjork and Amy Lee mixed. It hasn't been selling well but it does have a few good gems on it. :)

Anyone else have the album or like her?

This is her Wiki page.

I was totally going to make a thread for her! That's too funny. I love Kerli. I just bought her album the other day and it's really great. She has a very unique voice and a great talent when it comes to songwriting. She even said she's going to be working on a second album, which will be more experimental, so I'm pumped for that.

My favorite track is Love is Dead. It's fantastic and very well made. I really like the video for Walking on Air. I just hope she gets more sales with a second album or boost the first one. :-/

I love that song. My favorite is probably I Want Nothing. Walking On Air has also grown on me a lot. The video really is great. I bought it on iTunes. But yeah, the album's sales have been pretty poor. I hope she can at least sell enough that she won't get dropped. I really want her to release another album :(

OMG, I was dreading for this to happen, but I don't care really. :P I kinda hate her, her personality really sucks. She was fine in 2002 or something, but after that she's gotten way too stuck up, in my opinion. When her album came out [#126, ~5500 copies], everyone was like "WOW SHE'S SO HUGE IN USA OMG." o____o She's so not. Plus she felt the need to excuse herself by saying that "no one really sells a lot these days".
Yeah and she knocked off my favorite band who had been #1 for 10 weeks at the local charts. D:
Plus the line "love don't live here anymore" from "Love Is Dead" is such a blatant rip-off from "all is full of love" from "All Is Full of Love" by Björk.

But I kinda like that song she tried to get to Eurovision with. D: The best songs almost always finish at #2.
Spoiler:

As a fellow estonian, I feel happy for her. She's done what most wouldn't attempt or just plain wouldn't succeed - releasing an album in America.

I like her hair, it's wonderful and her style and the videos. I haven't heard the album and I probably won't cause I know her music+voice is not appealing to me. One of the videos reminded me of Ayu's STEP You.

She wouldn't have gotten far with this album in Estonia, so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping the best she'll succeed over there. :)

I did like the eurovision song contest song too.

Well her album was number one in Estonia so I would think that be a success in it's own right. And she is the only estonian artist ever to be on the billboard charts regardless of how low. And 'Love is Dead' is not a rip off of 'All is Full of Love' If you'd check your credits you'd see that the line "Love don't live here anymore" is from a song of the same name. Although I do have to agree with you in that when I was first listening to 'Love is Dead' song I kept thinking of 'All is Full of Love' but I didn't take it as a rip off.

I can't wait for her Tea Party video:heart

I like her a lot. She's not a "great" artist....yet. She needs time. Tea Party is ok but I'm not going to judge her by that song. I just hope her second album is a step up.
