Last year, Nojiri reached her 20th birthday, and NTV producers decided to bring her and SPEED back for this year's show.

After learning about the idea, SPEED member Eriko Imai revealed that her own 3-year-old son is having hearing problems. Motivated to reach her son through song and to provide inspiration for other young children, she asked the other SPEED members to join her.

For "24 Hour Television," the group is scheduled to perform a 25-minute set at the Nippon Budokan on the afternoon of August 31. They plan to stay together for the time being, aiming to keep SPEED alive for at least 2009.

*However, official statements from their management about whether this is a permanent get back or just like the previous 2 reunion has not been confirm. But, for sure there will be a live performance for 24HR Television.

確かにデビュー当時は、Mr.Childrenやゆずの所属する「トイズ・ファクトリー」だったが、今回は

解散して８年の歳月が流れたが、いまだにSPEEDの人気が衰えていないことも再結成の大きな要因に
なったのは間違いない。この秋にリリースする新曲では年末の「NHK紅白歌合戦」出場も狙っている。

解散した当時はティーンエージャーだった４人も、今や20代半ばの大人の女性。ファンならずとも
成熟した(？)SPEEDがどんなパフォーマンスを見せるか、興味津々だ。
