It says on Perezhilton.com that's shes 100% NOT performing, according to her manager and her label - though she is going to attend the bash.

Her publicist has reported that, that video was just a thing that britney does for fun, practice etc. She wont be performing. Unless her publicist was lying to get the shock factor from fans and pplzzzzz lol.

Exactly. That's what I think is going on. This video leaked and now everyone's excited for the VMAs due to the possibility that Britney may be performing. Of course her publicist is going to deny it, because the mystery is what keeps everyone enticed. I really do think she will be performing, and it's going to blow everyone's minds. If she doesn't, well...I'll be pretty damn pissed :laugh

I don't like Britney Spears, but seeing all the press and people interested in her coming back and getting healthy, etc., I think MTV will have her preform. I mean its guaranteed HIGH viewings because of her horrid performance last year, its a way to bring even more I think. Statistically it would make sense. That's probably why everyone media wise is like, no she's not performing but she'll be there yadda yadda yadda. Its more like building hype than anything.
