HOPE or PAIN's inspiration?
 

Comparing Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve with Hope or Pain by Ayumi Hamasaki, do you think there's something similar about it?

Well, Hope or Pain, I often have impressions that I've heard e music somewhere else, maybe this is my answer?

HOPE or PAIN reminds me a lot of Europe/Vienna, with the classical strings. I suppose the song's composition itself comes from classical music?

Hmm.. not particularly.

But in the beginning instrumental where the drums come in, the first couple seconds of it sound alot like "WHAT IF GOD WAS ONE OF US?", you know, that song by Joan Osbourne?

oh the song is nice..but not that similar, and i guess the only one that knows where the inspiration comes from is the composer @_@

Vienna is the country of classical music, no? Or was it Venice? LOL my knowledge is failing badly

Yeah.. I bet everyone else feels the same.. Maybe that song's a drum beat version of hope or pain lols.. e chorus part reminds me of that whatever China song sang by S.H.E

Bittersweet symphony + WHAT IF GOD WAS ONE OF US? = HOPE or PAIN ?

WHAT IF GOD WAS ONE OF US and Bittersweet Symphony are too pop to be compared to HOPE or PAIN?... it has a more classical arrangement with a full symphony- strings, brass, percussion and all. and it has lyrical depth that those can't come close to.

i agree xD i always got that song in my mind when i started to listen to Hope or Pain xD

and the only thing that's similar to The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony are the instruments used^^ (that's what i think^^)
