COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ (Malaysia Version)

Hi everyone,

Just wish to share "A COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~" (Malaysia Version) that I bought few days ago.
It cost RM83.00 after discount (retail price RM89.90).

This boxset is quite similar with Hong Kong version, with:
~ 3 CDs and Live DVD
~ 'Who... (Chinese Version)'
~ first press photo book
~ additional chinese translate lyrics sheet for each discs
~ original lyrics booklet

AND the box/case & discs are all marked with "Manufactured, marketed and distributed by WARNER MUSIC (MALAYSIA) Sdn. Bhd." (word-line and logo).

it's the same as sg version... even with a sticker on the box!

Shouldn't this be in the chat thread or something?...

The hair colour is also slightly darker (similar to other countries' versions) than the japanese's one.

hmm...i thought of buying it locally(m'sia) but it does not come with any poster...According to my net friend from HK,this album(together with a HK version poster) cost only HK$120 which is around RM60 after conversion(HK version which is available in m'sia cost about RM150 due to taxes)...LOL...btw..hope that i manage to get my own HK copy on my upcoming december HK tour...^^

I think mostly ayumi's stuff are imported from Hong Kong and Japan.
Anyway, these are what I know (and have) "Made in Malaysia version":

~ SURREAL (music video+making VCD)
~ Secret (CD+DVD only)
~ A BEST 2 -BLACK- (CD+2DVD only)
~ A BEST 2 -WHITE- (CD+2DVD only)
~ GUILTY (CD+DVD only)
~ A COMPLETE ~ALL SINGLES~ (3CD+DVD only)

And some cassattes: RAINBOW, I am...

I think all her singles are imported. ;)

I'm currently studying in Miri, Sarawak.
The place that I bought this album is in Bintang Plaza.

Not sure 'bout West Malaysia and other states.

Cyyong, Just a random question :)

The "VCD" you're talking about (Malaysian version of Surreal), they're only used in mainland Asia right? Do you know why they don't just use DVD, like in Secret and A Best 2 you're talking about?

Recently, a Chinese friend of mine brought me a Fahrenheit (boyband) CD + VCD, and the video quality is quite bad. Is the SURREAL VCD quality also bad? I can't imagine Avex allowing that. Thanks for answering ^__^

frankly this surprised me that Warner M'sia will produce A COMPLETE locally

does this mean they will do so for her future album releases ?

AyUta 3rd November 2008 06:27 AM

Well, the quality of SURREAL VCD is ok (DVD-rip to VCD), but still nothing compare to DVD.

In my opinion, I think the main reason for releasing VCD is because the cost of production for VCD is much more cheaper, and maybe also due to more people owns VCD player than DVD player.

Besides, SURREAL VCD was released few years ago, where DVD is still very new and expensive, and probably not many people owns a DVD player back then. So they release VCD for Malaysian.

Now DVD is very common in Malaysia already.
And the price for A BEST 2 (CD+2DVD) Malaysia Edition is almost similar to a single album's price [RM40+], and the packaging (first press or normal press) is similar with Japan and Overseas version [A BEST 2, A COMPLETE]; GUILTY (CD+DVD) also includes first press gifts "photo book" for GUILTY. ^_^
Malaysia version of ayu albums only release in CD+DVD format.

However, currently Malaysia only releases album [since Secret I think, not sure 'bout (miss)understood]. All singles and DVDs (live) are still imported from Hong Kong and Japan. :innocent

[P/S: It is good that SPICE GIRLS Greatest Hits (Malaysia version) released in CD & CD+DVD format, as I wish to collect both versions before it release in Malaysia]

branv 3rd November 2008 06:56 AM

i bought the same version at Malay too,
same with AyuGame,

no poster, but I insist the seller to give me their poster.
Fortunately I got one ^_^
