i wanted to ask... since i like shuya very much... i mean he has the body... i dont know about looks but he looks cute... why you guys hate him so much? i need some opinion... thanks

because Ayu uses him a lot.

Just like how some people don't like Ayu because avex marketed the crap out of her.

Same for anyone who's used a lot.

I don't know why there's so much hate for him. I mean, I personally don't think he's the best looking dancer, or even the best dancer, so I'll admit that I do NOT understand the favoritism ayu has for him, honestly.

But he's not hideous and he's not a horrible dancer so, yeah, I don't really understand the hate.

I also think he seems like a really sweet guy so if Ayu turned out to be dating him, I personally wouldn't care as long as she was happy - so I don't understand the "omg if ayu is dating shuya i'll be so mad!" hate either.

yeah and i like Shuya a lot too . And if they are dating, she may probably think, "i don't care if anyone hates my boyfriend, i'm the one dating him". She won't say that out loud of course :D

Maybe people get jealous that he gets so many touchy-touchy moments with Ayu

The only thing I hate from Shuya is that he is the only dancer to have a very close interaction with Ayu on stage. I keep saying "Shuya and shuya again" everytime I saw him dancing with Ayu like fated, M, appears, part of Me....

Furthermore Ayu started using male dancers for her solo/sexy dancing part is maybe during AT2005 when HAPPY ENDING got Hide, INSPIRE got Gomi, GAME got Mitsu and CAROLS got Naoto...I like the way she changes her coupling dancers back then...but now, you could guess who will accompany our dearest queen...XD

I hope for either Maro or Ryoji will got a place like Shuya got

I'm with you, terra, i miss the variety really. Every dancer had a different way of doing things, and the interaction with ayu onstage was always changed up a bit from dancer to dancer. It's not that i'm sick of looking at shuya's buggy-eyed face (although that isn't helping, honestly), it's just that variety has always been a hallmark of ayu's career, and she's changing things up less & less these days.

I don't understand HATE for shuya, but i can understand frustration with ayu's choice of him as the male lead for absolutely everything.

The only other male she looked like she had good chemistry with was Naoto and hes gone. Her other dancers dun look like someone for the role. Subaru and Gomi are awesome but they are goofy and really can't take em seriously. Zin doesn't look like much for the affectionate roles, I see him more as the hip-hop dancer in t2m. Maro and Ryoji are new so they've yet to establish an identity. I think Ryoji can pull it off but Maro looks like another hip-hop dancer.

I like him, and I don't mind people being frustrated over the over-usage of Shuya. It's not like it's completely his choice to be Ayu's dance partner. Surely Ayu and some other staff members are in it too. And you know what, despite the number of haters, he seemed to top the few "fav dancer" polls that we have here. How contradicting. :P

It's funny, because of you think about it, Shuya, Zin and Subaru didn't get any "lead roles" at all during that concert. Can't really use the excuse of them being new dancers since Hide and Naoto started at the same time as they did. But now they all left and Shuya, Zin and Subaru became Ayu's top men, whether it's offstage or onstage. Good enough for me, I love all of them.

I don't hate him, nor do I have a problem with Ayu using him as her main guy either, but I do kinda' get an arrogant vibe from him =S

I was quiet questioned about that thing too back then on AT2005....my sister's opinion was Shuya, Zin and Subaru weren't attractive-looking that times (with the exception of Gomi as he is a very senior dancer).

Maybe that's how Ayu arranges them in term of roles back in AT2005...or maybe it's Peco's work or Chiharu and Etsu's work in terms of choosing the coupling dancers, so then now with Zin as a part of the choreographer, Zin chooses Shuya because he thinks that no one at this time could be Ayu's couple except Shuya.

There are always haters and lovers .. you can´t do anything against that :D

I wun hate him for the fact that he is overrated since ayu is the one who makes all the decisions as to who takes the lead role.

I hate him because he looks weird. LOL thats the lamest answer i ever gave to a qns..

and yeah.. he has taken more limelight in AT 07 than Naoto had in AT05 and AT 06 combined.

at first i didn't mind Ayu using him, but now all we see is him so i'm kinda tierd of him.
i don't hate him at all. but i get kinda angry reading all the "Ayu and Shuya are a perfect cuple" on this forum, it just annoys me :D

he's a good dancer, but there ARE better dancers in Ayus team.
i think it's really bad that naoto left her crew. he was the BEST dancer she ever had. and Mitsu was awesome too.

i remember the times when Go-Mi was her dance partner, that was funny xD
he's like HUGE compared to Ayu^^
i really liked when she would use Naoto as her partner. i wish he'd come back....
