a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter from Yao, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, who made his debut in 2008 with the single HOME .

He has so far released 3 singles & his debut album Umbrella & his music can be described as R&B with covers thrown in for good measures .

Man what a voice this newcomer has . It's a bit too late on my part in discovering his music but still better late than never .

Blame it on MTV Asia & MTV China AGAIN ! Ashiteru has been playing on heavy rotation & My Treasure has since caught up on the trend :laugh

I think this guy can go pretty far & I like his voice , it's very soothing for that matter

yeah I know but I want to start another one because the other 1 was started by Amai Yume :P & I'm liking what I have heard so far from Shota & the local HMV has recently imported his debut album Umbrella over here , CD + DVD / OS press somemore :thud

I really love his music.
Umbrella is a very good album. There are so many good songs on it like ''Unhappy'' ,''One last kiss'' or the three singles.

Umbrella was in the first week at #3 in the charts.

that's very good , how about his 1st 3 singles ?

there's an article interview on him in chinese in my country's local mag U Weekly , saying something about him being the next Ken Hirai :thud
