Ladies & Gents , I bring you another great & very under-rated indie artiste in the form of Hidemi Uematsu

I have to take my hat off Roxanne @ http://charisma2.livejournal.com for introducing to me Hidemi's music because I seriously have not come across such an unique voice in today's jpop music scene .

Too bad I don't know much about Hidemi except the fact that she's in her early 20's & so far she has released 2 singles in which both singles's material were written & composed by her

In anycase , hope you will have fun listening to her stuff as she's really good imo . It's quite hard to say what kinda music she does , I say it's a cross between a good mix of indie pop , r&b , folk thrown in for good measures .

She's so awesome, and it's so sad she's under-rated too :( she deserves better imo, her voice is so good :luv2

hey karen i was just hanging around your blog last night and i saw her pics, and i thought wow this girl is pretty even though its just the side face :luv2 and i youtube her and found the song trauma, and guess what? i instantly love her! <3 the song is very nice! must try another song from her soon

frankly her PVs are nothing to shout about but she made it up with her great blend of music

Actually I've never listened to Superfly (knowing that it was them anyway) but I'll look them up as well.

I heard a bit of Superfly on MTV China so that's why I can't help but draw similarities to Superfly & Hidemi , voice wise

I just clicked on this thread because her name is familiar so she's completely new to me. Her voice is so different from anyone else. And not different in a bad way, but appealing. I loved Jidai from the beginning. Though...does she always wear a hat? If she does wear the hat, she should sell hats or do promos for them. One of them on her website looks to be knitted and she looks so cool in them. Made me want one.

Oh^^ I love her songs too~ But I prefer her 1st single.. I love her style too :D But her PVs are always very low budget eh?

yeah can't be helped since she's under an indie & not a major record label
