Rarity of cds?
 

I have a question about the rarity of certain cds such as the A single or H single which have different colored versions. Are some of these rarer than others....like say are the blue or orange A discs rarer than the gold one? Are there any different versions of ayu cds which are very uncommon?

Sure there are many different versions....are you talking about like the first press editions? Some first presses....like i can only think of No Way To Say have first press editions that come packaged differently

Well I'll be, I didn't know I had the limited edition of F&E >_> I bought it for about $2 in a batch of about 5 Ayu singles totaling about $10! xDD

I was bidding for a blue copy of A, but bidding got to over $12 and I had to pull out! >_<

If you're talking about the one on ebay right now, that's actually what this topic was about! I was just wondering why people were going nuts over that particular cd and if it was really rare or something. I was even considering placing a bid....it's at $17 bucks!

Nothing special. Just a different cover and different booklet details. Nothing different in the tracklisting or anything. It's just a rarity cause it's limited.

I think it just depends on the people bidding. If 3 people want the blue A single, then it'll be more expensive versus 1 person needing the orange A single. It could also depend on how many of that version you see people selling on ebay. The more you see, the less rare it is, and hence less people needing it to finish their collection.

The special million version of H is probably the rarest of the H singles. It can go for 20$+ while all 4 other versions of H go for under 20$ together, but that's because H has all four covers, and its IMO the best (CD design and case design)

I have I Am... NEVER EVER, MY STORY CD+DVD, & and a vampire knight fanbook on my invoice so I thought I'd lump all the shipping together XD

I think it's more expensive to get back catalogue CDs when new albums come out :tired

I was so mad though......I got outbid like 6 times in the last minute for his A Best LTD with the slipcase! Guess we can't get everything right?

Well, the most of her new CDs is/will probably be rare ine a month or something, if you are lucky there is still first press of GREEN/Days CD+DVD on CD Japan(With long slipcase), and there is first press versions avaiable for both R/S (poster and painted CDs) and NEXT LEVEL (colored package). Those thre is still avaiable.

Then, the limited USB version of NEXT LEVEL is after just weeks extremly rare, just like her 8cm singles (poker face - TO BE)

But actually her rare CDs is still quite cheap in here (AHS). If you look at ebay, it can be cheap too. If it helps, there is a first press guide here -->

If I'm not mistaken, the black CD of A is the least rarest. If you were to go buy it at CDjapan or something, you would get the black one; all the other colours were limited.

Dora regularly has A Best and the other albums, singles can be rarer :) If you don't care about collecting all of the different covers of A BEST and A BALLADS you'll get one soon enough.

I just spent like $60US getting a few singles, I Am... with obi and My Story CD+DVD from Dora. It's taken me this many years to finally get an official copy! MS was the first album I bought but it was a bootleg (good quality one though) and I got the one where she's lying on the floor - my fave cover of the lot too! :luv2

That A single went for $40USD - crazy! I've got most of the singles I wanted from her back catalogue now - it's so expensive collecting them all! o_O

Does anyone know how rare the Ayu-Mi-Xes are? I have 2, 4, 5, and 6, with 5 being the only opened one.

that same A BEST limited edition, but it was in worse condition


i got LOVEppears and it arrived broken, same as Endless Sorrow single, and Daybreak limited edition sealed! it was broken inside too!


other than that all came good... so buying from Dora is like gumbling a bit... u dont really know in what conditions your things are going to arrive

All of my things have arrived safely and unbroken (although I usually break all my CD cases soon after getting them myself >_>). If they all came in one shipment maybe one of the Australia Post guys decided to play football with your package! I've seen videos of them kicking parcels around too! >_<

My A BEST was a little damaged on the slip case, like the edges had had a little of the print rubbed off, so I know it was shoved in a CD rack or something (haha) but apart from that all the CDs are good quality - I even got my f&e limited CD from Dora, I'm surprised it wasn't advertised but maybe he doesn't know?
