NEXT LEVEL cover is tattooless?
 

Could anyone explain to me why the NEXT LEVEL cover is tattooless? why would they edit it out? I thought she was proud of her tattoo. Was it so it would flow better with the rest of the album?

Because her tattoo doesn't make sense in some situations.

It would draw attention to her tattoo rather than her face and the concept of the album cover

oh just noticed how her hair is rather photoshop blurry around there~

I'm gonna take a stab at this and say:
In Japan tattoos are heavily linked with delinquency and the Yakuza, and although a lot of younger Japanese don't actually mind tattoos, it would create a bad image in Ayumi showed her tattoos in official photo-shoots, well, except for Secret, but that's an exception.

Now I know that Namie and Mika show of their tattoos a lot, but I know that Namie seems to have that bad girl image imo, whereas Ayumi doesn't have a bad girl image.

That's what I think anyway. :)

I don't think namie is that bad girlish. -now adays- today she seems to be sexy and classy. also they photoshopped out namie's tattoo in the 60s70s80s cover too. I guess for visual purposes too.

lol her tattoo is a cute heart with a wing & an A, i doubt it'd give her a bad girl image.

it'd look worse with her tattoo and even more tackier than it already is, that's probably why they airbrushed it out.

^ True! But I don't think that the Yakuza tattoos are bad boy tattoos, they're actually really hawt. xD

i guess the only exception is Secret, since she was really trying to show off her tattoo XD

think the main points of NL's cover is the hair, the colors, the TVs, and her yellow dish washing gloves :D

Yeah, if she was posing like that and obviously showing the tattoo, people would say how uncreative it was because she was showing it the same way she did on "Secret." They just retouched it out to change it up a li'l bit.

Photoshop. That's why it's tattooless.

But tattoos are really so cool, but again she looks with the tattoo photoshopped off in this case, no?

^ Why should it be? We've seen it since she was with Nagase, about the release of "A", as it's the old A logo. Well, I haven't really checked, but I'm sure, if you see papparazzi shoots and so, you will see either the half heart, the 10th anniversary heart, or a bad layer of make-up.

Her black, deform tatoo wouldn't fit her dolly-look-alike on the cover!
And yes, I really think her tatoo is deform.

photoshopped..it could have been wird there.. I have one on my left foot and often, when I have special work meeting, i cover it with foundation.
