Why not MIKA NAKASHIMA?

just have a curiosity..even lately I don't listen much to her album, Mika Nakashima is always one of my favourite voices among the artiste I like the most. But my feeling is that here in AHS there are just a few fans of her and much less attention is paid to this singer.
I just wonder why most of you don't appreciate her or just don't pay attention to it.

it's just that it has been quite quiet around her since the release of her Over Load single so hopefully something new will materialise soon

Lol I don't know but maybe her voice doesn't exactly appeal to most people I guess? :shrug Anyway she hasn't been releasing much lately so I guess that's why nobody's talking about her at the moment LOL.

That's why i created this thread...I think her first 3 albums were exactly amazing and her voice, wow is awesome. Moreover she's a gorgeous girl and very stylish but cannot really explain why she's so underrated

her albums sell good though, she's had a few million selling albums in the past as well :yes

zomg I LOVE Mika!!! Love Addict was on repeat for like, ever XD She is the only artist I know that can make a 7 minute song feel like only 4 ;-; She has gorgeous arrangements in a lot of her songs too. LEGEND (Main) is one of my favorite songs ever too.

I like Mika, but she's not very mainstream since after NANA imo.

i only got into mika from LIFE and onwards, but i love her so much. :weep maybe she's a bit underrated, though. it just depends on people's preferences in music :shrug

I like the fact that she does non-mainstream music.

To be honest, there are very few artists I just don't like, but Mika is one of them. :shrug I've tried to get into her, but the only songs by her I like are her Nana ones. I just don't like her voice really...and a lot of her songs are Jazzy but I don't like Jazz.

She really is quite popular though. I don't think she's too want for attention.

i was a bigger Mika fan prior to anything "YES" related. :)

i liked "VOICE" to an extent, but i think her earlier work is her best.

She's fantastic. One of my most favorite japanese artists. I like how she tries uncoventional genres compared to the usual JPOP. And her PVs are always very artistic and nice to watch.

She alongside with Ken Hirai much later on , changed my whole perception on the fact that Jazz = boring which I now know it's not TRUE at all

+ she can work rock music so easily & flawlessly too & no I'm not referring to her MICA 3 CHU single

but rather her NANA works & face it , L'arc en ciel's hyde's a GENIUS when comes to composing GLAMOROUS SKY :luv2 :smitten

it's still her only #1 single to date somemore

i hear ya! i never liked jazz music lol. but mika changed that. :heart

and glamorous sky is one of the best japanese songs i've ever heard. i never get bored of it.

and i said this before but i will say it again: it's a shame that that's her only #1 single! :weep:weep oh well better luck next time!

ugh yeah that sucks man T_T

but it's a good song no doubt & it's her 2nd best selling single since Stars somemore so that's kinda comforting .. sorta
