..and worst? jw..is it forgivenesS?

I'm not really sure which but I think it was "A"..........A was the longest single (in length) in the story of japanese music and it also had like various different colors.

The best selling single was A with 1,630,540 copies.

i assume because in the years of "A", CD sold good because not many people download fromt eh interent....and now, everywhere, CD are going bankrupts......and rainbow was released in 2003...and people don't buy much sicne P2P...

I'm pretty sure it's not A anymore. I think it's H. H sold about a million in the first month... total over the year was about 1.7million or so.

I think A was her best selling single. It broke like 1.5 million copies if I didn't remember wrongly. H only broke the 1 million copies record. (refers to Music Station Ayumi Single Ranking)

Umm..is that how many times the songs have been played, not how well they sold? First of all ASFXX wasn't a single, secondly, Voyage, Dearest definitely didn't break the 1 million mark, and where's H?

H barely made it to one million. It definitely did not pass A's sales.

Oh yeah another important fact: H was the only Japanese single in 2003 to break the 1 million mark.

That ranking was from the talk part in September '01 when ayu sang Dearest on Music Station. It was just like her favorite songs chosen by the audience not the one for sales. ^_^

Yeah, the singles market has been lagging over the past few years. It's really undeniable that MDs, mp3s, and P2P sharing has affected singles sales. Also, the economy, lack of something 'new' out there to stablize the loss of many top groups has really emptied out the top ten. Some of the top singles lately have been really weird or things that wouldn't have had a chance a few years ago. I notice that these days, there are no huge artists besides ayu and a handleful of others where all their singles hit the top ten. It seems to be just a case-by-case basis at this point.

Still, she continues to release new and varied material. I think it's only a matter of time before she hits it huge again if she keeps up at this rate. (That's my hope anyway.)
