Johnny's H1N1 outbreak?!
 

Don't know how many have been following this, but a surprising number of Johnny's have all been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu strain recently. (aka. swine flu)

So far the following people have been diagnosed: Nishikido Ryo, Yamashita Tomohisa, Yokoyama Yu, Shirota Yu, Koike Teppei and Yasuda Shota. Ookura Tadayoshi is also suspected to have it but the diagnosis hasn't been confirmed yet.

All are members of either Kanjani 8 or NEWS. Nishikido Ryo is a member of both groups and was the first diagnosed, so it seems to point to him being the cause of the spread among just those two groups so far. Still quite crazy I think!

Okura is not down with H1N1 but rather he was striked down by the flu & most recently I heard that it's KAT-TUN's Akanishi's turn to be supposedly down with flu

it's awful , I think the weather in Japan's currently not very good :headache

Okura it seems they are still not sure about it. He tested negative for H1N1 but then again so did another member who took the test a second time a few days later and it came back positive.

I'll definitely be getting my h1n1 shot before I head to Tokyo in a few weeks!

question! i've been wondering about this for a while, actually, but is H1N1 the same as Influenza Type A?

because most the cases are saying Influenza Type A...not exactly the words H1N1/Swine Flu...with the Johnny's.

I think they meant the same thing in that when they talked about Influenza Type A = Swine Flu since they grouped it under the same umbrella

Yes, I meant Yokoyama Yu but accidently wrote Yamada Yu. According to the article I just read his is the Type A as well - but yeah whether it's H1N1 isn't always clear.

I believe its the H1N1 - with all of them going down around the same time they would likely have the same strain and it was Yamashita and Ryo - the first two diagnosed - that they specifically said h1n1 for.

Maybe they shouldn't sleep together so much... :innocent

from what I know , Koike Teppei's not a Johnny since his solo works & the works he does with WaT are produced by Universal

The weather has had a dramatic shift recently, was low 30's, high 20's C in September but now it's mid to low 20's. Also typhoon season is going strong so it's bringing in quite a bit of rain.

but yeah, there's something going around the KAT-TUN rumor mill with Akanishi having the flu, though it's not confirmed as of right now (not surprising since Jin is friends with YamaPi, Ryo, & D-BOY Shirota Yu. all of them had Type A).

I think I had swine flu myself. I was sick for 3 days in total and now I'm good again....still coughing a bit but overall fine.

as long as my baby didn't get the flu, i'm content :D :laugh

But have they all recovered? It's quite a disgusting disease, so thankfully the vaccines/shots are gonna be ready very soon. :yes

^ As far as I can tell, it seems that all are recovering well. :) It's just alarming that it actually took down an entire j-pop group more or less.
