buying cds online that count towards oricon?
 

do sales from yesasia count towards Ayu's place in the oricon chart? if not, then why? I'm sure I read that CDJapan counts towards oricon, but I'm not sure

CDJapan and YesAsia definatly count towarsd Oricon.

HMV.jp + amazon.jp should too, as they are Japan-based store.

I'm sure that cdjapan and YesAsia count towards Oricon, not sure about the others

I'm pretty sure (I'll say....99% sure XP) I heard a few different places that HMV counts as well. It's why I considered buying from them. And I don't see why Amazon JP wouldn't count...

When did YA start counting towards oricon? Last I heard they didn't.

normally if you are in japan all japanese store that sell brand new cd only would count toward oricon like hmv tower record etc .

Ahh. Well that's good. Finally YA counts. Wish it would have started last year or so when I was buying Ayu stuff like crazy. xD

lol I posted that during Aug when ARASHI's All the BEST ! was released so maybe that started around that time when whatever Jpop stuff you ordered though YesAsia is counted towards Oricon since that never happened to them in the past

Other sites that their sales are counted towards Oricon include CDJapan , HMV Japan , Amazon Japan , Tower Records (I think)

Ahh. I must have missed that post. Thanks for letting me know, though. Now I can continue to buy stuff from YA and I know now for sure it will count towards oricon sales. :) yay~

well from what I know , in the past whatever jpop stuff you buy though YesAsia , it's not counted towards Oricon

they only started this year in Aug . I think they must have able to successfully negotiated some behind the scenes terms/conditions with Oricon to make it work this time round

so at least now whatever jpop stuff you buy though YesAsia , you don't have to worry that it will not get counted towards Oricon because now it does :D
