Have ayu ever performed at BUDOKAN?

Have her?
I have watched all of her tour and she has never performed at budokan...
I think it will be great to perform there, just like Hikki or YUI...
More seats, more ticket, more money...^^

I think Arenas bigger then Budokan...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nippon_Budokan (Capacity 14,201 )
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saitama_Super_Arena (Capacity 5,000 - 37,000 )

No, Ayu has never performed at Budoukan. I've always been curious about this. Does anyone know the reason why not? I consider Budoukan as a "legendary" arena... So, I find it a bit odd that she hasn't been there. Does it perpaps have something to do with her ear problems? Maybe the setup of the Dome's or Budoukan aren't suitable for her. :shrug

Interesting. One reason I'm guessing is cos ever since MY STORY Tour, her stage set-up has always been stage + catwalk + circle stage. Maybe Budokan doesn't provide such a set-up, which might be why she has never performed there.

I always wondered about that as well, everybody who is big in japanese record industry performed there, even if it isn't really big. But maybe her new stages just don't fit in! She already got massive problems in that taiwanese arena

gothicayu 9th November 2009 04:54 PM

i always wonder too . i didnt know about the taiwanese area . what happened ?

ayuinh.k? 9th November 2009 05:02 PM

there wasn't any problems in taipei arena..it was in h.k coliseum and shanghai grand stage, where there wasn't enough space for the catwalk, so they reduced it

pommy48 9th November 2009 05:09 PM

Oh yeah I remember watching that on the documentary~

From the lives that I've seen at the Budokan, it's mostly someone there singing, but ayu usually have a lot of dancers, some props~

budokan might be a little bit smaller if ayu wants to do catwalk, u can see what will it be just like in perfume's budokan concert.

i found that most of the artist that had concert in budokan are really casual singer and prefer more to singing rather than decoration, points to hitomi, do as infinity etc, i might be wrong though

^ Hata Motohrio's live at Budokan was a simple (but fantastic) concert. I don't think simplicity is Ayu's concert style these days, so...

..and Hikki too!

My sis asked me that too. I think Budokan is not a place to do Ayu's concerts especially when she uses big production numbers, props, dancers, a lot of running and walking, etc.

gothicayu 10th November 2009 08:53 PM

ayuinhk thank you i didnt know that

zyoeru 10th November 2009 11:23 PM

Yeah.. I have to agree with a lot of the people here, the Budoukan really isn't suitable, plus it's kinda overrated... LOL

Saitama is an exception. Compared to other venues, Budokan is considered fairly big.

I've always thought it weird that she has never performed there considering it is considered quite prestigious. I always wish she would do a more stripped down live show ala Team Ayu Limited Live there.

AyUta 11th November 2009 04:51 AM

yeah, that's my guess too. budokon doesn't have the necessary stages she needs...it's basically built for a small band+ singer...

She -could- have done it back then in 2004, but looking at things now, I actually don't think she will ever perform a simple concert...
